  • It’s a great headset, until it isn’t.
Style: UC Optimized (Standard)
I have had this headset for almost three years and it has been used for my work on a daily basis; around 7 to 8 hours a day, Monday - Friday. It’s a great headset. Sound is quality, features such as noise cancellation are also great and many of my coworkers I have daily Microsoft Teams meetings with have often commented on how clear my microphone sounds. However, today after a Teams meeting, I noticed that the microphone made a slight static sound when I pushed it up into the mute position. A few minutes later, when I received another Teams call, it made the same static noise when I lowered it into the unmuted position and the other person on the call could not hear me although I could hear them just fine. After a lot of troubleshooting and online searching, I found many complaints and Reddit feeds about this issue. It seems that over time, as you raise and lower the microphone arm, it wears through the small wire inside that connects it to the rest of the hardware in the headset thus causing this issue. My headset is well outside the warranty timeframe. I did find a video on YouTube that supposedly shows how to fix the issue by taking the headset apart and resoldering the wire to the board and adding a protective sleeve, but I’m a large guy with large hands and fingers and wouldn’t even attempt such a repair as I know it would end in failure and many burns. That being said, I bought the headset when it was $250. So I suppose I got my money out of it since I also made money with it. But given the price point I would’ve been much happier with at least five years of use. Although it’s still great for listening to music while I cook. Do what you will with this review. I’m just trying to be transparent from my experience and I realize reviews are very subjective. ... show more

  • Was an amazing headset until it died
Style: UC Stereo Headset
I bought this for work, since I work from home and am on customer calls at least 6 hours a day. The battery was amazing, would usually last all day. The sound was great. The noise cancelling was pretty good. Then one day the boom mic stopped working; I googled it and found out they basically use loose wire in the boom mic to connect, meaning every time you move it up or down a tiny bit of friction moves over the wire and eventually it will fail. Planned failure you spend again? I dunno. If I have a second one die (I bought another because I liked it so much) I'll come back and amend my review. ... show more

  • Not What I expected from Jabra
Style: UC Stereo Headset + Charging Stand
Read all the specs and reviews and thought the Jabr Evolve75 would be the answer. Verified several times that it used Blue Tooth or the provided USB nub. What I got was a great headset with superior noise suppression. Charges great, mutes easily with rising of the boom. What it doesn't do even though the specs imply it does - connecting it to my laptop detected and connected as a smart phone. So, there is NO VOLUME control whatsoever. the Jabra app doesn't detect it as it says it needs a Jabra Bluetooth adaptor or Jabr USB DECT connector to pair it with my phone. I truly wished this had work because the headset is fabulous and the noise canceling is the best I had. Unfortunately, these are going back as they are way too expensive not to work with a laptop and phone properly ... show more

  • Good value. Great audio quality, decent range, good battery life. Works with all my apps.
Style: UC Stereo Headset + Charging Stand
I'm a software developer and I work remotely from a home office. I spend several hours a day in calls and video meetings. This is an amazing headset. I've owned it and used it daily for over 18 months and it's still going strong. The PROS: - Great noise cancellation on both the audio input and output. When my kids get home from school and practice the piano, my coworkers don't hear the piano. - Wireless. I can get up from my desk to stand at the whiteboard or get a drink of water w/o getting tangled in cords. The range is good enough for me to leave my desk and walk to the kitchen sink. It gets a little roboty when I'm that far away (~20feet and 2 walls), but I can still hear and be heard. - Hardware mute. I love that I can flip the boom up to mute the microphone. Such a game changer when you don't have to fumble windows looking for the mute button. - Battery and charging: The battery will last all day (and sometimes into the night). It doesn't last 2 days for me anymore, but it still lasts 12-14 hours. I never have battery issues unless I forget to put it in the cradle when I'm done with work. I listen to music often. When the battery runs out, I plop it in the charger and it'll charge up fast. I.e. if I forgot to leave it on the cradle overnight, I can do my morning meetings and then plop it in the charger over lunch and it's fully charged. The battery is built in and it charges via micro-USB. You don't need to worry about keeping AAA batteries and a charger around. Just put the cradle on your desk and plug it into your computer and you're good to go. Before purchasing, the battery life was what worried me the most. I was worried that I'd spend a few hundred bucks on a headset and in 2 years, the battery wouldn't hold a charge. I haven't found that to be the case. 18 months in, the battery still gets me through the day easily. - Fit and finish. It's definitely a premium product. Well constructed. Carrying case is great for when I travel. - I regularly use Linux desktop, Mac and Windows 10. It works flawlessly across each w/o needing to install drivers. It's using the USB audio profile, so it works out of the box. The MEHS: - I wasn't used to _on_ ear headphones. My prior headphones were wired Bose QuietComfort. Those are super comfortable. The Jabra headphones sit on the ear. It took a while for me to get used to that. At first, I couldn't wear them the whole day w/o feeling like my ears were in a vice. Now I'm used to it. The other features make it worth it. - When I'm in a meeting on my computer, and someone calls my phone, it mutes the computer audio. I get around this by trying to remember to turn bluetooth off on my phone. The CONS: - The price. It's expensive. But TBH for me it is totally worth it. If it fits in your budget (or your company is paying for it) I think it's a great headset. ... show more
