These gloves definitely fit the description of heat resistant! I use them in my home office when pressing items on the heat press at high temps, think 400 degrees. It protects my hands as well as my forearm. They are thick but not too hot. Provides amazing grip, I can handle a hot item without worrying about slippage! I keep them hung up onside of the heat press, designers had the forethought to add hangingI can’t compare them to another pair as these were my first. they aren't magic wizard gloves that keep all heat at bay, but they work as well or better than traditional pot holders and make it easy to move scorching objects as long as you don't handle them more than any reasonable person would expect to. I use them with an air fryer to handle the rotisserie basket or swap trays, they still allow you the dexterity to use tongs to flip food (while holding the hot tray). They are woven so steam will go through. If you read a review that says these aren't heat resistant, they are doing something wrong or holding scorching things way longer than anyone should expect (they aren't wizard gloves...) ... show more

These work great for me, they allow me to handle my dutch oven out of a 500°F oven. I bake bread often using that, and these let me move the pot and lid easily. Not for an extended period obviously, but unless I join the fire department I doubt I'll get equipment that would allow that. Bought these for my husband to use when he makes popcorn and roasts coffee. The fingers seem a bit narrow on such a large glove, but he said they will be OK. There is lots of silicone for protection against the heat.

These gloves were much thicker than anticipated but that is also what makes them multi-functional. They are listed for Kitchen use but I see them functional for Winter activities as well as for Hardware projects. I love the Day-Glo green colors so they are easy to find.
