    • Awesome dock!
Took me awhile to set this up correctly but some important things to remember. I Have this docking station plugged into a receiver, which my TV is plugged into. You will need a modern HDMI cable (my Nintendo switch HDMI and one from like 2013 did not work) You can use the power brick/charger that comes with the steamdeck to power this device, I used a ps5 controller via Bluetooth and it still charged while playing games, so the original power brick/charger that comes with the steamdeck works great so far, will edit this review if I have issues. AKA OG steamdeck charger has enough Watts to charge while using peripherals. This dock fits my "SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Pro Series Case" just fine, no issues, the case also leaves plenty of space for the usb-charging port at the top of the steamdeck and case The Ethernet port works flawlessly, The desktop mode showed that I had a wired connected, as well as the gamemode, HIGHLY recommend you dock you deck to this station when downloading/installing games from steam, makes the process go much much quicker. I would mention, that when you plug in the steamdeck for the first time, it asks you how you want to display the second screen, be a little careful, I don't know how to get that option back just yet after I picked extend when on desktop mode (very easy to loose the mouse on the big screen, I wish I had hit duplicate) Also, when the steam deck is in Game Mode, the main screen on the Steamdeck itself does not work (yet, maybe? question for valve really) but it definitely displays on my Tv Sorry for long review but, these are questions I had when I was looking to buy one of these docking devices so I would not have to pay 90 for the valve version.     • Great Dock for Steam Deck, okay dock for RoG Ally
Cheap, gigabit ethernet is huge plus and works flawlessly with my steam deck. However, I just got ROG Ally. It works great I'm doing the review from it now. However even with the Ally PSU plugged into it. I can't get to full power mode in manual it's only giving me 35w. So just something to keep in mind depending on what you plan on using this for. It's a great product nonetheless. This may be fixed either by ivoler or asus. I do know other docks however were fixed by an ASUS update. ... show more

Been using the dock fairly consistently for a while now and have had no problems with anything not working or breaking on me. I have it always on Ethernet and speeds are high and consistent. Charging is optimal with nothing getting too hot. Design is very sleek but supports the Steamdeck well.

It was pretty good honestly until I put more use into it. The battery flat out died just today after moderate use. The dock is light and flimsy and I'm surprised it even lasted this long to begin with. The port to power it doesn't feel secure at all either. The Ethernet didn't even work consistently as I would get kicked out of online games after an hour or two. Would not recommend at all. Very disappointed with this product. ... show more

    • Works with a Deck in a thicker case. Alone, worth the price of admission!
One feature alone prevents the showstopper I see on other docks. I don't have to take the Deck out of it's silicon shell to use a dock! This dock plugs into Steam Deck console with a connector that doesn't sit flush with the case when the unit is plugged in. The plug has a short extension that allows the USB C® cable connector to be fully inserted even if you have a thick silicon case protecting your Deck. Kudos to the iVoler design team! Otherwise, compared to the Steam Deck dock: - Same number of USB and Ethernet ports. - Lacks DisplayPort output found on the Steam Deck dock - Aluminum = sturdy, rugged. - Wider cradle opening, again allowing this product to be used with a Deck in a thick protective case. If I hadn't already bought one, I'd be buying one now. ... show more

Love this dock for the price! It’s sturdy enough for me to feel comfortable leaving my steam deck sitting plugged into it next to the TV 24/7 with a cat around. My only complaint would be that the sound will cut out for 10-15 seconds at a time, but it is still worth it and might be a deck/hdmi issue versus this dock. Another thing to note is that when I first used it the pixel resolution was locked super low and I almost sent it back straight away. After trying a different HDMI cord it solved the issue and hasn’t given me any display issues since. ... show more
