I just wanted to leave a review I've been using this item around 2 years now. I bought quite a few in that time and this company has been really good with replacement item when the same comes apart it happens once in a blue moon. I'm living with three hernias I need a fifth turning operation but it seems like this medical industry can't get it right. For a higher hernia a right side hernia and a belly butt hernia it's really supportive. I've gone from 58 inch around my stomach all the way down to 46. I'm impressed with the new one they put some stabilizers in the back area and that helps stop the 12 in from rolling and staying up. I know it's truly not intended for this year's most of the post surgery. But when your back's against the wall it works great to survive life. update I'm loving the new version with the little support on the side in the back. ... show more

I purchased this band because I needed extra support for a hernia. I ordered what I thought would be the size I would need. Thinking I would need a bit larger size to accommodate for my hernia I was wrong. I needed the size smaller. But come to find out that I can’t return this item to exchange for the correct size. That sucks. So I will never do business with this company anymore. I suggest you don’t either. I’m addition to the non return policy the recovery binder has the plastic ribs that keep coming out all the time as your wearing it. I guess they are designed to hold the band up from you waist to give it more support but they constantly slide out and I find myself fight with that all the time. It did an ok job.. Wasn't as good as the one I had gotten from the hospital after my surgery but at least it didn't fall apart like that one did. I had complications after my hernia surgery so I had to purchase a new one hopefully this did the job. I go back for my checkup today so I guess I'll find out. This abdominal band DID NOT fall apart even after washing it a few times.my only wish is that it would have been a little wider and a little stronger because it seems to me after you wear it for so long it just isn't as strong as it was as is supposed to be. It did it's jobs and hopefully I won't have to wear it after I see my doctor today. It's been 2 very long months and I'm ready to take this off and put it away for a very very long time lol!!!!! ... show more

Not great. I returned for a different style. This one bends in the middle due to the 2 straps so support was not good. And the Velcro only works if you are exactly in the measurements they have listed. If it just fits and you loose weight or it gets stretched out and you need it tighter.. it won’t work because the Velcro does not work all the way around. So that was another reason I returned for another brand. ... show more

I have had several abdominal surgeries and multiple hernias repaired. This abdominal binder fits well, is cool to wear, and adjusts easily. My only wish is that the large area of Velcro went over on the binder about 6 more Inches. I like buying one a size larger than I need because it makes it easier to but on but the Velcro on the straps overshoot the target Velcro on the wide part of the belt. Fortunately it sticks anyway but I will eventually need to put some Velcro in those spots. ... show more

This is great but it is pretty big. I recommend measuring yourself before buying it, especially the width. 12" is very wide and consistent all around so it could fit in the front but be too high in the sides or back. 12" is too wide for my sides. I think the quality is great and it will last long. I sort of fold mine down just a bit on one side and it feels fine. I will be sure to measure before getting a new one in the future. ... show more

I have upper and lower abdominal hernias and need the support when working out, or lifting heavy objects. never had one before so I didn't know exactly what size (9" or 12") to order. think this one is too wide , should have gotten a 9". it does give seemingly good support, however, it really takes two people to place it around your abdomen properly as it tends to bunch up unevenly when doing it yourself. i'd probably try a narrower one to see if it works out better. yes I tried velcro it to size and then pulling it up over my fat ---, but then you still have to get somebody else to help you straighten it out! this is why I gave it a 3star.other people may have no problem at all. ... show more
