These are extremely well made and sturdy shelf brackets and look really nice. Ideally they would be installed into the studs, but it does come with mounting hardware to install in drywall. I don't recommend the drywall anchors - just go buy some quality ones if you need to install this in drywall. We put up a really wide shelf and decided to add a third bracket in the middle for extra support and that one went into the drywall, not studs. Several of the included drywall anchors pulled out of the wall when driving the screws into them. I ended up having to add bigger drywall anchors from a big box store to fix the issue, and fortunately they worked with the included screws. There is a lip on the end of the longer piece of each bracket so it kind of limits how it is used. Installation/setup: Install on wall as instructions detail, using included hardware to hold shelves (not included). Final thoughts: My shelves are 12 inches wide, so I couldn’t attach the brackets as I intended, but it was not a deal breaker. The metal curves up at the end so the only way for my shelves to be mounted was from underneath. It really didn’t matter to me, they are in my hobby room and I will be the only one to see them. The metal is nice and thick and is holding up well even though I have really loaded the shelves. I used one bracket per stud, and I have exposed studs in my walls so it was super easy for me. I like these and I’m glad I got them. ⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality. ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend. ... show more

I was shocked at how heavy duty these brackets are! They scream high end! I always assume typical plastic cheapness, but man was I wrong about these. These are the most heavy duty brackets I’ve come across. Far better than any fake metal ones I’ve looked at at the major retail stores. When I picked up the box I was honestly surprised! Do not waste your money on fake metal or plastic brackets, get these you won’t regret it!! They came nicely packaged, no scratches or dents. Even came with multiple different types of wall anchors. These brackets are certainly not the flimsy L bracket style brackets I was expecting to receive. They are MUCH heavier duty than most of the brackets Ive come across in the past.
