I used these for an outfeed table on my table saw. Attached these to the side of the saw and put a plywood top on them. I can lift up my outfeed as needed and easily store it away (down) to make more room in my small shop. Smooth action and were easy to install.

I gotta say, these are really great. They were very easy to install and I think that they will hold up to my uses exceptionally. So you are asking yourself, if these are so great why only 4 starts. Well here are the things holding it back from a 5 star. First the product page does not provide enough information for planning these on an install. I was using these to make a folding table out of a 25 inch wide butcher block board and it was not clear whether or not I would run into issues using the "24 inch" brackets (a review mentioned some problems on theirs with brackets being to long" so I took the safety rout of going with the 22 inch brackets. The 22 inch brackets work well and I do not forsee any issues, but I am left wondering whether or not 24 inch brackets would have worked, and I have a future project where I plan to use the same board to make a work table where this may be more important. Having installed the 22 inch variant I am pretty confident 24 inches should work. The other issue that holds these back is they have pretty sharpp edges and some slag left from cutting of certain pieces, specifically the diagnal braces when it is folded into the up position. While I did not cut myself on these, I did note how sharp certain parts were and would be concernd if a toddler were in our house that the may grab them or bump into them without caution. Most edges on these are pretty "crisp" and I would plan to take a file across them to dull them out a bit. Those things being said, I would recommend these and would order them again. ... show more

Love the finish. These are NOT cheap metal, they are durable steel, precision functioning brackets with solid, smooth enamel finish. Folded up, they add only 3/4” standoff from the wall surface to the thickness of the shelf material used. Buy these...they are great and can hold alot of weight if you DO NOT USE THE SUPPLIED anchors!...they suck and the stainless shelf that I attached to the folding brackets started to pull away from the wall with just the weight of the stainless steel shelf (15 lbs) max. So I went to homedepot and bought amazing anchors with wings esp since there was no studs to screw into that hold 100 lbs a piece and the folding brackets require 6 anchors (3 each side) Now I feel confident that the brackets can now hold the max amt the shelf will hold which is 200 to 300 lbs and I will never put that much weight on there ever. They fold to about 20 degrees from the wall and is a nice feature but I will probably not use. I use a rolling tool box under the shelf anyway! ... show more

I ordered these brackets to support an outfeed table that planned to build as a folding extension to my table saw. They came in different sizes/lengths and although I could have used longer ones, I wasn't willing to wait the extra time to receive them. I ended up buying the 18" length for a table that was to be almost 30" long and they worked great. Once installed on my table saw and the plywood top they were surprising solid. Much more so than I had expected. They were only 18" long to support a 40" x 30" table but are rock solid. Seriously, very solid. So, if you're looking for a set of locking, folding shelf brackets, I can't imagine doing any better than these. And they're not a fortune. Big win for me ... show more
