there are some kinks we are ironing out but my floors have never looked better , the pet hair is picked up the dust bunnies are gone, the throw rugs are immaculate ,, there are some issues with them getting stuck or s9 sucking things up and having to be cleared but that is all in how you police the places you want to be cleaned. \ I cant imagine ever being without them ... show more

We bought a brand new Roomba 9 plus the Braava Mop in a package deal for Black Friday 2020. The Braava Mop works as advertised, but the Roomba 9 has not worked since we received it. We have two large dogs that produce a lot of dog hair, and, after several years of messing with an earlier Roomba with a small, internal waste basket, we gave up on it. While our earlier Roomba worked fine, it just didn't have a capacity to keep up with all the dog hair. The new Roomba 9 with the large external basket seemed to be the solution. Unfortunately, it has not worked since we got it. When I tired the Roomba the first time out of the box, I kept having to mess with it to keep it going, clearing this and that and restarting it several times. I thought this was just the learning curve, but I never could get it to run a full pass. After a week of messing with it, I then discovered that the green roller had picked up a long string that cut the roller in two, which didn't seem possible with a brand new vacuum. I had to go online to buy a new roller package ($49) and new bags ($25) because all our local stores (Best Buy, etc) were sold out. Two weeks later the roller (and new bags) arrived, we tried the Roomba again with the new roller installed, but still no luck. The Roomba 9 would roll around our kitchen for about five minutes, hit a bar stool or a table leg, and then stop with a glowing/spinning red light. Today I called customer service, and a very nice young lady from somewhere in the South Pacific ran me through the three different Roomba Vacuum resets that I had already tried from watching Roomba self-help tips on YouTube during the last month. At the end our call, the customer service rep said that they would have to send a new Roomba . . . but it wouldn't arrive for at least two weeks to a month because they were low on stock. The Roomba with the Dirt Disposal container is a great idea, but, given all the problems they are apparently having, Roomba clearly had not tested this new Roomba out enough before shipping it for the Holidays. I hope our new Roomba arrives soon, and I hope it works this time. As an aside, the Braava Mop robot is currently mopping our kitchen with no problems, which is why I gave this "package deal" two stars, rather than the one star that the Roomba vacuum deserves. Consider me very disappointed in Roomba. ... show more

Thought these would be awesome, so I read reviews BUT purchased the Irobot S9 vacuum with the M6 mop last year at Thanksgiving anyway. In the first 100 days, I returned three S9s under warranty because they simply stopped working due to computer/sensor issues. Fourth was a charm; however, the first 2 returns were free, but the third I had to pay $60 shipping costs (???). We had no issues with the M6 until recently.... the small plastic button and spring on the front of the unit that are used to pop the pad off went flying across the room. I examined the button and the tabs had worn away - that shouldn't happen in less than a year. I called to request a new button and was told that IRobot doesn't stock parts for these machines (maybe all of them was how I interpretted what customer service said) and they would ship me a new unit once I completed another warranty request. This is totally uncool - it's a .50 cent plastic part and they don't stock it or anything else for their products. After the warranty is up, I have a feeling that I am going to have $1400 worth of junk. In concept, these should be great, in practice expect a bunch of problems. ... show more

I purchased the Braava and it's worthless. It doesn't clean for squat, and is a total waste of $$$. Specifically, there seems to be a design defect so that the pad barely touches the floor. Not even a wipe. Their cleaning fluid is sickly sweep and just dries in place leaving any dirt behind, along with the added expense of using their cleaner. DO NOT PURCHASE THE BRAAVA ... show more
