I was prepared to not like this. The cost alone made me suspect. However, after using the included wet mop pad (stay with the branded versions and you won’t regret it) I was amazed. Ok, it didn’t get the edges of the baseboard. It’s not a vacuum. It functions best as a wet mop. The dry sweep function does pick up an embarrassingly large amount of dust and dirt on the floor but it can’t pick up anything that is larger than that which can stick to the pad. That’s a built in limitation. If you need a vacuum, and we all do, this doesn’t do that. But it does an AMAZING job of wet mop. And the mapping feature is far better than I expected. It doesn’t get it right on the first pass but it does add to its learning when it mops according to the map. One thing I will say - the app needs help. It’s not easy to work with. But it is what you have. The iRobot takes a very long time to mop our 2000 sq ft floor plan. But we set it when we leave and it does its thing. The app gets points for letting me know where it is and how it is doing with progress. I do wish the fluid reservoir was larger - it runs out of juice before it finished the floor and it does seem to spray more than is really necessary. We were going to give it a week and then we’re very prepared to return it. But after looking at the job it does and the time we save, it’s worth the price. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I know, my title may seem over the top, but this truly is one of the greatest inventions of all time. Is it as good as a human/flawless? Of course not, but having a robot that I can program to sweep/mop my floors every single day is automatically doing a better job than me. Could I sweep/mop every day? Sure, I could do anything, that doesn’t mean I will. I LOVE the feeling of immaculately clean floors on bare feet, now this reality is mine, and the work I have to do to have this is minutes a day. What I learned with my robot: -You MUST do several map runs, ***several*** to get accuracy. Your robot will appear drunk during these runs, this is normal. Embrace the learning curve of accurate mapping, it’s worth the effort. -Like my cats, I couldn’t help but obsessively watch my robot. You will eventually learn to trust it, and run it when you aren’t keeping an eye on it. It’s not super loud like a vacuum, but it still makes some noise. -It does have some limitations, I love my robot so much I got two that I run at the same time to overcome those limitations. Thresholds aren’t your robot’s best friend, but if you map them in, they are easier to cross. I’ve found I can wet mop my living room on the eco water setting, which is about 650 sq feet, but that’s the tanks capacity before docking. What I decided was to have one robot in the living room, and one in my kitchen that I run everyday at the same time, this way, I can clean my whole main living area in an hour. -The benefits far, far outweigh the limitations, which like I said, can be resolved by having more than one robot if needed. -This robot really does hug corners, and furniture really, really well. The only places I have as no-go zones are places like my computer chair. It’s much easier for me to clean this area manually once a week. All in all, I LOVE my robot!     • Great When It Works!

We own and use 3 Braavas on a regular basis. When they work, they are useful tools for keeping hard floors clean. But, they are prone to breaking, both the mopping pad ejection button on the front, and the top water tank lid. The App is also prone to lagging and errors, and the robot navigation is not as good as it should be. When you need repair- and you will need it- be prepared for push back, challenging and extensive information requirements. Rest assured that iRobot has all of the needed information, but they want you to prove that you have it. With repair needed on a Braava less than a year old, on 6/2/24 it took 45 minutes on the phone and 4 emails to provide proof of mailing address, proof of purchase and a copy of the initial purchase receipt. After having to twice repeat the purpose of our call, they needed the last 4 of the serial number (they had the full serial number), the place or method of purchase, the date of purchase, the date it broke, and proof that we paid for it. The call center used by iRobot is poorly trained in customer service and barely speak understandable English. If there was a good substitute for the combination of the Roomba and Braava cleaning team, I would switch. ... show more

I’ve had this for about a month. It is wonderful for my needs. I have two indoor/outdoor dogs in a sandy environment and it has helped to cut down the amount of sand and dog hair on the floors. My only issues have been with the mapping of the house. I also have the roomba i7 and the maps do not integrate. There was a large box on the floor that the mop marked off on the map as it should. But, once the box was removed, the mop would not integrate that area into the map, even after 3 attempts to “mop everywhere” which is supposed to update the maps. I had to delete the map and start over. Now it appears to be working fine. If you have pets, don’t expect to get multiple uses out of the pads. ... show more

    • Magical Little Robot and New Best Friend

I was a little hesitant to buy this after looking at some of the reviews, but I’m glad I pulled the trigger and got it when it was on sale during Prime Day ($399). It was very easy to set up and works like a charm. It doesn’t leave any streaks or puddles on my floors and I love that it can adapt to furniture being moved around. What’s important to keep in mind is that your house needs to be a good candidate for this little machine to work well. My house has the same flooring in every room except the bathrooms and we don’t have any carpet so it moves freely around the house without any issues. I can see how the robot can have issues navigating through a house if it has to go across transition strips and different types of flooring. The mapping feature on this robot is pretty accurate. It takes about 2 hours to clean the bottom floor of my house (430 sq feet). I have a dog and a toddler so this thing is magical in my eyes. ... show more
