In my original review I stated that the version I ordered had a closed foot design that made it extremely difficult for someone with L4/L5 disc issueS to get in and out of. The following day, the company contacted me and will be replacing the closed foot section with an open toe section. You don’t find great customer service like that very often. GREAT COMPANY. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! This chair is really amazing. So many great options. Very strong massage capability with availability to adjust the perfect level of pressure while doing any of the different types of massage. Voice control, heating vest, tons of cool stuff going on. Watch the online videos (NOT from the manufaturer) on how to assemble. It's easy. Also, there are a few videos not from the manufacturer on how to use. The manual that comes with the chair needs serious work. The chair is awesome though. On the left arm of the chair, find that button that looks like a microphone. Press and hold to turn "Alice" off. Yep! That's her name! Otherwise, in the middle of the night you may hear "I'm here!" Kinda creepy. LOL. The masseges have been awesome. The amount of the body the chair reaches is incredible. I'm glad it has a timer, because I could easily, and have easily fallen asleep in the chair. ... show more

This one came much faster than the first and came with the arms. It was pretty easy for me to assemble, although I am an appliance technician so I am used to it. I've owned a nice massage chair, purchased through a Chiropractor that did a nice job massaging the spine and it wasn't too bad of a chair to have in the living room as part of a fairly modern furniture design. This chair doesn't blend in with anything. It fits in the corner of a large master bedroom or a workout room. It's single purpose is to massage and it does an incredible job of it. I sat in one of these style massage chairs at a Las Vegas convention after walking around on concrete for 4 hours. That's the best pitch and it was a perfect break for relaxation. I'm too cheap to spend 9-12k on a chair. My wife is going through chemo and has aches all the time. I set out to find one without the huge markup of the middlemen. We loved the deep massage and the stretch feature. I felt that chair in Vegas was going to rip my legs and arms off and it felt great. This chair advertised that feature and delivers. It's not for a wide person. They make chairs for wide people and this doesn't fit wide people. Wide chairs can't massage skinny or normal sized people. We've used this chair for 4 months, daily use of at least 30 min a day, sometimes 2 hours a day (several of us use it). It works great. Love all the pre-programmed features and customizations. The touch screen is very intuitive and helpful to see progress and what is being worked on. There are dozens of pre-programmed massages. The scanner that happens at the beginning is really important and very effective and determining where to begin and end, how to massage your neck and shoulders. The cons - the voice control doesn't work. That's a feature that is nice when your arms and hands are being worked and massaged between airbags and if you pull them out, you won't get them back in for 15-20 seconds. When it ends the program, it shuts down and doesn't return you back to an upright position. There is no way to design your own program AND save it for future use. It's nice to be able to increase pressure on skinny legs, or skip one type of motion or turn on the heat, but it's a pain to do it every time you use it. I would love to jump in and tell it to give me 'custom massage #3' This was a very expensive purchase for us and we did a lot of research, even looking at used models on craigslist and FB marketplace. Delivery was easy. The boxes are huge and you need two people to lift it, but we did the install ourselves and it was REALLY easy to do. Is it loud? Not really. We can use it while watching TV and it's not an issue. I expected this to be a watered-down version of the fancy ones 2-3 times the price, but so far I think this is on par with the best. I'm not a mechanical or electrical engineer and there may be a difference in the internal components, but I am very impressed and waited four months to write my review in case the massage chair broke, became glitchy, or just became another laundry rack in our room like the treadmill or trampoline.
