WARNING! This thing is powerful. I would suggest you play with it with access to the remote's power button in case you need to turn it off. Hello! I tend to shop for months- especially when I buy a higher dollar item online. I am glad I finally purchased this chair. I have had it for 2 days and have used it 8 times- you might say I like it :) I decided to find a chair like this after sitting in the ones at our local mall and decided on this one due to reviews and price point. This one is far better than the mall... I am 5' 8.5" at about 185 pounds and wear a medium shirt and size 34-36 pants. I have used it with a blanket on the chair to start with- I've read in other reviews that it can help you get used to it without having to overcome the deeper, more intense kneading action (that I can tell is there and that I will want later). Lower legs: When I sit in this chair, I stretch my feet out to extend the foot section so my calves fit perfectly and then relax them when the massage starts. The air pressure on my calves works to compress my legs pretty well. Feet: The foot section with the sole massage works great- if I sit in the chair for 3 cycles, the firm compression and rollers do start to hurt the bottoms of my flat feet but 2 times is perfect. This was a big selling point for me as my feet generally are sore at the end of a 12 hour, on my feet, teaching/IT day. Back and butt: As the massager is running up and down your back and butt, the compression on your hips at times alternates between left and right that causes your body to shift slightly to get even more coverage and helps loosen my spine (this was weird at first because I thought I was imagining it and I love it now). The butt massage it gives you is actually quite nice- it actually feels like a good hand massage. Arms: I have smaller forearms so I like to position them directly on the arm compression areas to really get a good squeeze that alternates front to back. It compresses hard enough to initially concern me that I might not be able to get out if I needed to! This is actually a good thing for me- I really enjoy the compression. If you don't like as much compression (or have larger forearms), you can let your arms rest more towards the outside of the chair in a larger pocket area. Zero gravity: is the way to go. Maybe someday I will try other settings, but for now, I just turn it on and let it do its default routine. When the massage is over, it tips you back up into a nice position to be able to get out of the chair. The extended foot section has two little rollers (kind of like HEELYS shoe rollers) that help it glide over my carpet (that needs replaced- it is a little flat but makes it nice for my chair!) Admittedly, I have not ever gone to a professional masseuse so I cannot comment on how close this chair is to that experience but I can say that is was worth the money for me. I just received my UGear Massage Chair. They say 1st impressions are the best. Well, this one lives up to just that. Very well packed and arrived in perfect condition, in shorter time frame than was estimated. My first ride was amazing. I researched several chairs and reviews for weeks before I decided on this one and it complete met, if no exceeded my expectations. All in one piece, just plug and play. I am an average size person. It's snug, but not too snug. If you are a larger person, this might not be the chair for you. Perhaps they make a larger one. It's not the most comfortable chair, but its not an easy chair, It's a massage chair and a good one! All of the features, that are advertised, are far exceeded. I love it and would recommend it to anyone. Its not too hard and not too soft. For me its the best thing I've done for myself for a very long time. The price is not only reasonable, for what it is, but worth every penny. Thank you for offering such a great product! I only have one issue, What will I do with all the chairs I no longer use? :-0) ... show more

UPDATE: I have lowered my review from 5 to 4 stars. 4 days after Ugears offered me a 1 year extended warranty to leave a review they contact me and say they "no longer offer the 12 month extended warranty but heres $30" This has completely soured my taste for this company. At this point I wish they had never contacted me because I'd still believe they were a stand up company. I had always assumed my buddy having issues with the company was a one off but this bait and switch says different. I no longer have faith that if or when i have issues they will stand behind they chairs and make it right. Bought this massage chair January 2021 after weeks of reading reviews and comparing features of different chairs. Happy to say after 9 months of using this chair I'm even happier with my purchase now. Pros: This chair gives great massages and has been a hit with everyone who has come to my house and tried it. The SL track is longer then most reaching from your shoulder blades to the bottom of your butt, it does not however reach your thighs. It has multiple massage techniques and ample airbags which can be used with default programs or individually selected and turned on and off. The heat is a nice feature but is limited to the lower back region. Bluetooth speakers work nice and a re a great feature to have. In my opinion this chair is comparable with ones 2-4x the price. When i ordered the chair i highly underestimated how important it is to have alot of airbags. While they do add to the massage i find the best benefit of them is they will squeeze you in the right areas to pin you to the chair when the rollers get to that area helping to get a deeper massage. The zero gravity is a great feature and lays you back almost completely flat letting your body weight push you into the rollers. you can adjust the recline of the chair and the elevation of the legs independently. Cons: This is a short list and more of missing a couple convenience things that you may get in higher end chairs. When you start the chair it it goes into a default program and you cannot select a different program or make any changes until it reaches its reclined position (roughly 20 seconds). Again not a big deal but would be nice to be able to select what you want right away. Second drawback is there's no ability to create a custom massage program and save it. I find i prefer the strong mode and like to turn off certain airbags and set the chair to max time. Again only takes a minute to do it but would be nice if you could create at least 1 custom program. In my opinion if they would do these two changes and update the remote look/options and mount it on the chair it would elevate this to be top notch across the board. Tips: One of the things i didn't learn until recently is you can adjust the position of the chair without it running. With the chair off and the remote not lit up you can hit the adjustment buttons for reclining the chair and legs and the chair will adjust. Shipping: I see so many people giving lower ratings because of the shipping companies not bringing the chair into their house. This is NOT the companies fault. These are shippers NOT movers. They are only required to drop it at your house not put it in your garage or move it into your basement. As for packaging that was very well done. It was attached to a pallet with ample packaging around it. It does come fully assembled all you need to o is get it off the pallet, lower the leg section and zip one zipper. The chair does have two small rollers on the back of it so one person can tip the chair backwards and roll it to where they want, I have solid floors so it was a breeze if you have thick carpet it might be more of a challenge but will still aide greatly. These ship from California. Time will depend on where you live and how long it takes them to line up a delivery company going to your area. I live in South Dakota and from the day it shipped i believe it took around 7 days. I was very pleased with the communication from the company they always call to update you on the status of your order and to let you know when it ships. They also did a follow up call with me about 6-8 weeks after i got my chair to see if i had any questions, concerns and how i liked my chair. Summary: For the price, features, quality of build and performance of this chair you cant go wrong. I'm very pleased and would recommend this (which i have) to all of my friends. NOTE: This chair comes with a 1 year warranty. I will mention that one of my friends ordered this the same time i did it it had a panel that clips broke off during shipping. Last I talked to him it had been 4 months and still has not got the company to fix it. I also need to be upfront and say they did offer me a 1 year extended warranty to do a review. My review is 100% true and I stand by it but this must be mentioned. ... show more
