The strong metal casing is powdercoated in an attractive Anthracite colour, and will outperform the plastic cases of rival heaters. Inside is a stainless steel heating element and good quality fan ensuring that the temperature in your greenhouse is kept relatively even all over the greenhouse by the good movement of air. In order to be safe for greenhouse use, new regulations state that greenhouse heaters should be IPX4 rated or above, meaning that if they encounter some wet conditions or splashing they should be safe.     This little guy is working his tail off. I have it in my 10 x 20 greenhouse and it puts out the heat. Could have used a bigger one so it wouldn't work so hard but due to my inexperience I chose this one. It does the work at keeping it above freezing in this Ohio weather we have.     In the 30 F to 50 F degree (-1 to 10 degree C) outdoor temperature range I can trust the greenhouse temperature will be 45 to 65 F (6-18 deg C). But I thought the heater would be able to adequately heat a 120 sq foot greenhouse as the ad said. I had to add another heater to keep temperatures above 50/10 degrees F/C.     I have a 6x8 greenhouse and it stayed warm when the temperature was 22 degrees F. I have the thermometer too. The info with the heater says not to use with an extension cord. I contacted the company because I do not have electricity to the greenhouse. They said OK to use an extension cord as long as it's heavy duty. I have been using the heavy duty cord and no problems.     This small heater with thermostat does a good job controlling the temperature in my 10’x12’ greenhouse. This is the first winter I have had this and thus far it has kept my wife’s plants protected. The other thing I like about this heater is how the components are protected from water and moisture.     I bought this heater for my greenhouse so I could grow my peas and carrots in the winter months. I has done a good job keeping broccoli warn. It may have raised my electric bill about $75 a month so those better be some mighty tasty beets. I bought it to keep the greenhouse going when it's snowing outside so I could eat corn and I will so it is doing it's intended job. ... show more
