As someone who is entirely new to this form of hair removal I wasn't sure what to expect or what I was doing. This product is very beginner friendly and easy to use. The instructions are clear and the device has very few buttons so I was able to figure it out and use it in under 15 minutes. The device is sleek and professional feeling, and it provides you with everything that you need to use it. The razor that it provides is very low quality however, and I would definitely recommend using one of your own. I used it for the purpose of writing this review and I ended up with bumps everywhere. The sunglasses provided are great for protecting your eyes, but also super hard to see through. Be aware that if you wear them while using this product it might be difficult to see the area that you are working on. Because of the glasses I need to use this product mostly based on feel. As someone who has never used this type of product before, I was nervous about how much it would hurt and how my skin would react. Fortunately, it doesn't hurt at all and my skin had no reaction! I have super fair skin that is also sensitive so it is very easy to tell when there is redness or irritation, and experienced none of that with this product. Finally, I would say that I did notice some results with this product, but it took a long time. I would not recommend ordering this product unless you are certain you want to commit to consistently using it. The flashes were not painful. This device is easy to use. It comes with an instruction book that first outlines all of the contraindications for use. This is thr first device of this type that I have tried, so I have no prior experience to compare it with. It takes 6 to 8 weeks of use before you will notice a difference. I will keep using this. It will be worth it to have permanent hair loss on the designated areas that I have chosen. It comes with a cheap razor, two attachments, the hand held device, a power cord, and dark glasses to protect the eyes. I opted to not use the glasses since I wasn't directing any of the light toward my eyes. The book also suggests to apply aloe or something comparable after use to the treatment sites. I'm not seeing much of a decrease in hair after three months. I'm not sure how long this process is supposed to take. But I can tell you, this is much better (money wise and comfort wise) than going to a professional. This IPL device is easy to operate you just have to plug it in, push the power button, and press the trigger. The intensity level can be adjusted to higher or lower settings based on personal preference and there is an auto or manual pulse option as well. I personally like that this device can be used on the upper lip and chin. I have a different IPL device that can not be used on the face. This device comes with two attachments for targeting different areas of the skin as well as a bag and razor. Since you have to use this on different parts of the body the device is shaped in a way the allows for different positioning without fatiguing your hands and arms. The additional precision attachments allow for better accuracy when addressing different areas of the body. This unit is not battery powered and requires a near by outlet. This unit is not as high powered as a salon/spa unit, but it does work over time. It is easy enough to use if you can hold the trigger and move it at a steady and even pace. The size is about right, but it can be difficult to maneuver it into certain nooks and crannies, however you can easily get full coverage on your upper lip. It gets a little warm, but it's generally painless and leaves no marks on your skin. I find that my skin feels better when I moisturize following a treatment with this device. Since it does take some time to do a treatment, it is nice that the unit is plugged in with constant power rather than relying on a battery to keep it working at full capacity.
