I really like this keyboard. Once you put the iPad in it, it operates just like a tiny laptop. It is very well built and is durable. The battery has a very long life and the lit keyboard is a nice touch. I am really not sure how much more functionality and solid reliability you could get in a package this affordable and useable. Fell instantly in love with this keyboard cover after having been through two others that did not have a screen I could put anyway I wanted like this one. Big upgrade. I'm using a 2014 Airpad2 and there aren't many options out there. The first thing I noticed was the gorgeous color (turquoise) and how hefty it was. It's not flimsy at all. Love the way the keys feel and that they light up. It was like I had a new ipad or computer. As others have said, there is a lag sometimes when you type. Not always. Seems to be mainly when I go to the search bar. My other covers did this too. This seems to be a bit longer of a lag. Worth it. The bigger disappointments were 1) my battery charger (iWALK Small Portable Charger) does not fit it. I had to switch to old cover for a trip and it was not easy getting it out of this cover. Which is a good thing in one way - it won't fall out. But if I have to keep doing it, not sure it will sustain that much changing. Also not sure what portable charger will work with it. Anyone know? Oh, right. The customer service is excellent. That's HUGE in the Plus Column. I'll ask them. 2) the keyboard battery life is not what I expected given my former ones lasted months. This is a few days to a week or so, depending on how I'm using the iPad. Not a big deal but another thing to keep charged up. Overall, though, I really like this cover and it exceeded my expectations in many ways. UPDATE: I bought an extender for $15 that works with my iWalk charger so now I don't have to change cases when traveling. Upping to five stars because, for the price, it earns it. ... show more

Update 6/7/21: After about 6 months, the keyboard stopped working correctly. Some keys produced multiple characters, some had no response. I contacted customer support. They had me try several things but we could not get it to work. They sent me a new unit through Amazon and it's working great. Good customer support! I've been using this for about two weeks now and am very happy with it. It set up easily. It appears to be sturdy, it is stiff enough to stay at the desired angle, keyboard has a good feel, the outer part of the case has a matte or slightly tacky feel so it doesn't slide around. My only complaint is that there is no indentation on the edge that opens making is harder to open it. ... show more

Product arrived with paint chips taken out of the keyboard. It’s not a huge deal, but they’re sort of sharp and uncomfortable to type on (would not advise if you have touch related sensory issues). I contacted the company directly through their website to see if I could get key cap replacements or exchange, but they repeatedly claimed they “could not see the damage in the photos.” It wasn’t really worth arguing, but I’m a little disappointed, since this product isn’t exactly cheap. Seems to work okay. Decent battery life, but I do not have to travel with it so I’m unsure how it does long term. Sometimes lags a bit, but not too bad. I’d recommend purchasing models with the track pad. I didn’t think I’d need it, but my brain gets tripped up with the laptop shape and always reaches for it. 😂 Overall cute, seems sturdy (though it hasn’t taken any tumbles yet), and I like the option to change the colours on the backlit keyboard or turn the feature off entirely. (It cannot cycle through the colours in a rainbow wave effect like some keyboards, but that’s okay!) ... show more

This keyboard turns my ipad into a laptop. Keys have a good keyboard action, and the back light is extremely helpful when working in the dark. Color changing option is unnecessary, but a fun toy. The swivel feature is really nice, my previous one did not have that. Be aware that there is a delay when you first open the ipad until the keyboard connects. It takes a few key strokes before connecting, but it works so well that the delay is not a problem for me. I ordered a black one, and the rubberized surface provides a good no-slip feature. However, every finger mark shows on the black surface, making it look very dirty and completely unpresentable — from the first time I used it. I contacted the seller, and they recommended cleaning it with alcohol. I tried this, and it looks much better. I would still prefer a surface that doesn’t look dirty every time it gets touched, but I may not have dropped and broken my last one if it had had the non-slip rubberized surface. I’m thinking that a lighter color may not show finger marks as easily. The customer service was excellent. They returned my email immediately, and have continued to be responsive.
