This hair dryer has a cool setting, in addition to the extra power that will dry faster (compared to my last dryer which was a Conair 1875). The weight of the hair dryer is heavier but worth it for those who like to keep their waves or curls intact. I have fine hair that falls over past my shoulders 3 inches. I just use the warm and cool setting. No need for the hot setting for my hair. It takes me about 10 minutes to dry. I've only used the hair dryer for 2 weeks, so I don't know if it will pass the test of time but for $50 it was worth trying out. ... show more
