I'm using it in my Living Room, under my TV, which is on a stand. I had trouble figuring out the Instructions (and wish they'd used a larger sheet of paper), but finally got it to work. Note, however, I'm NOT using the Alarm or any of its features other than Time of Day. And I wish the Colon did not flash on and off (about once a second). But I like its Size and Brightness, and that the Numbers are Thick, and fill up a lot of the screen. I found the overall quality of this device to be very good. The aesthetic is excellant, and it looks well put together. I like the glass front, and the large, read-from-afar font. The instructions are quite small, and I did need to use a magnifying glass to read them. It also took a bit of re-reading before I fully understood them. That said, once I did I found the instructions to be complete and accurate. I did not expect as many functions as there are for the low price this cost. My only complaint is the battery timeout function. I recognize that this is clearly published on the ad for this product, it isn't clear that the clock is only on for a few seconds. I understand that this is necessary in order to preserve battery life. Also, I am familiar with this function, as it is the same with my smart watch. The difference is that my smart watch is always within reach when I want to read it. The clock on the other hand, is likely not within reach. The audio gain on the clock "wake up" sensor is very low, and does not respond to noise except from very close (within reach). The clock does work well, and stays on with the cord plugged in. Unfortunately, this won't work for me in place I need the clock to be. I'll have to look for something else, battery operated and non-emissive. Suggestion to the manufacturer: Increase the gain on the microphone so that it responds to a sharp "clap" from 5 meters away. It's great if you're looking for just a basic clock. It has 3 different lighting settings but even at the lowest it still lights up my son's room at night. Also, it's listed in the details but I didn't notice until I received it, that it must be plugged in if you want the display to be turned on all the time. This clock is great, sleek and easy to set up. It has the simplicity I was looking for and a good value for the price. It only has one down side. When you use batteries, versus connecting it to a power source via USB, the clock has a default feature that puts it into power saving mode, ie, puts the clock to sleep after 16 (or 18) seconds. I use this clock in an office setting in which clients need access to the time for visiting purposes. I wanted to use it battery powered for a cleaner look but then I noticed clients asking for the time or using another source to find the time. I realized then that the clock was asleep. The only way to "wake" it is to physically move the clock, otherwise the screen remains solid black :( The power source it is connected to is a laptop which gets shutdown daily, therefore I was having to reset the clock daily. Easy to do, but very inconvenient. Now, I keep batteries in it in order to avoid having to reset it when my laptop gets shutdown, but plugged in so that it won't go to sleep while in use. That is the major flaw with the clock. It arrived with some minor surface scratches on the screen. I attempted to peel off what I thought may by a plastic film but I was unable to. I'm not sure if it even is a removable plastic film at this point so I gave up on that. This clock is ok but i don’t like how the colon blinks. It blinks like a normal clock would when you are changing the time, but this one never stops blinking. Not a fan of that. Otherwise, not too confusing to set up. Also, it does take batteries but it also plugs into the wall? I am not sure how to have it run only on batteries but it is ok being plugged into the wall for now. Probably would not but again bc the blinking is annoying. Idk how to make it not do that. I got this for my mom. She has bad eye sight and can see the numbers. I want to take half a star off for it needing to be plugged into a usb adapter to stay always on. It does have a wake by sound to come on. But, I don't expect her to be able to use that.

I got the white one. It works great. Easy to program and you can plug in or use battery. Down side at night its very bright even at low setting and lights up 1 to 2 feet around it. In the living room not a problem but in the bedroom along with a baby monitor seems like half of my 10×10 room is lit up. I would probably look at red or green one for bedrooms.
