Description

Rumiko Takahashi’s epic in a large prestige format including bonus color pages! Kagome is an ordinary modern schoolgirl living an ordinary life. Who would have thought the dried-up old well on the site of her family's shrine would be a gateway to Japan's ancient past? Drawn through the gate against her will, Kagome finds herself battling demons for control of what she thought was a worthless trinket but is actually a powerful magical gem, the Shikon Jewel! Together with an unlikely ally, the half demon Inuyasha, Kagome begins a quest to recover the shards of the Shikon Jewel and learn more about her link to the past. Final Volume! Magatsuhi, the embodiment of the evil half of the Shikon Jewel, is on the loose. Then, demon Naraku begins to absorb the Shikon Jewel and its unfathomable power. All our friends fly into action to prevent him: Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango and Sesshomaru! But Naraku defends himself by dividing and manipulating his attackers. And Kagome is losing her priestess powers, making her a prime target. Then Naraku’s true intentions are finally revealed and Kagome is swallowed up by the Meido! Is Kagome, for the first time, beyond her friends’ reach? And will the final battle over the Shikon Jewel draw Inuyasha and Kagome together...or pull them apart forever?! Read more

  • All Time Classic
Worth buying every single volume and having patience collecting all of them, & it's getting discontinued soon. Sad that series is leaving so soon because the story is great and compared to the anime Im suprised they cut out a BIG chunk of the manga out. Keeping all of 18 Volumes for sure and being a rarity ... show more

  • Beautiful and dramatic
This volume of InuYasha happens to be one of my favorites for a few reasons. The first one is because there is so much drama between InuYasha, Kikyo, and Kagome. When Kagome discovers that InuYasha has been talking with Kikyo, she feels betrayed and runs home, leaving Kikyo and InuYasha to reveal a startling discovery about Naraku and Onigumo. Next, with much emotion, Kagome considers leaving InuYasha forever, but finds that she had fallen farther in love with him than she had realized. She couldn't stand being away from him even for a short time, and decided to go back. Kagome spoke beautifully about how, though she could never sever the bond between InuYasha and Kikyo, she still longed to be by his side. For these reasons, I consider this to be one of the best volumes in the InuYasha mangas. ... show more

  • Inuyasha, Vol. 18 Vizbig Edition
This is a one size fits all review for the entire Vizbig Edition of Inuyasha. It is in the traditional right to left version of the manga, translated into English. I have not yet read it, as I have bought it for my daughter. However, I have watched to entire dvd series, and enjoyed it immensely. It is a fun series, and I highly recommend it. The 56 volumes of the manga is nicely compacted into 18 volumes of the Vizbig Edition. ... show more

  • Great read
Not the strongest finish at the very end, but it works. The finish of Naraku’s story line was very good.
