The box came in great condition, and the manga volumes were mostly pristine. The box looks great on a shelf. For any less than about $100, this is a great value since buying the manga individually would come out to around $100 anyway. When I bought it I believe it was around $50, which is an absolute steal for 11 volumes. My only issue is that one of my volumes had to pages slightly attached on the "open" side, so there ended up being a little bit of tearing involved to get them to come apart. Swept I was, by the audacity, the raw surge that is Tatsuki Fujimoto's craft. This is no mere manga; it is an experience visceral, a force that seizes you by the scruff and relents not. The box set, to which I ascribe a steadfast 5 out of 5 stars, stands as a testament to the narrative's grip, its power to captivate, to hold fast the mind of the reader. Upon its arrival, the package spoke of promise. The box, a bastion of art, robust and alive, its images leaping forth, demanding the gaze of all who pass. It was evident, the care, the precision taken in its creation. Each volume within, a portal to chaos, to the hunt of devils, where heroes and antiheroes dance upon the line of shadow and light. The poster, a riot of color, of frenzy, came unexpected, a boon, though tales tell of some sets bereft of this jewel. A slight mar upon what is otherwise a presentation without blemish. Purchased for a teen girl- The entire boxed set was read nearly immediately. She really enjoyed the storyline. The added poster was a nice touch. Covers the entirety of the first arc. Paper quality was very good.

    • Probably my favorite of the more recent manga
Let me just throw out there I am an older fan of manga & anime. I am in my late 30's, and loved manga and anime since my teen years. Saying that, I am mostly a fan of older stuff (mostly from the 80's & 90's), but I tend to dabble in new stuff too. Chainsaw Man is definitely one of myifavorites coming out so far. It's checks all the boxes for me, it's weird, got a really great story, and some great art to it. One thing I should point out for the manga for those who haven't read it yet: it's art style is a little different here than it is in the anime. It's not as refined as the art in the anime, and comes off as being a bit scratchy in some ways. Personally, i REALLY enjoyed this style, but I did notice some saying they didn't like the art as much as the anime and I get it, the art in the anime is too notch. The box set itself was pretty good. The images on the box are great, and doesn't feel all cheap. The volumes , and their covers themselves are the same as the singles you can buy individually, you're not getting any alternate covers or additional chapters/volumes, no extras here. Just a box with the 11 singles and the very small poster. The poster is REALLY small, but still cool to see. This box set is definitely worth it of you loved the anime. You're gonna get a great read with some REALLY great art, a great story, and interesting characters. If you already own all the singles, though, you can pass on this one. My major gripe though, is that Amazon is clumsy with their box packing. There was barely any packing materials, and actual manga box had some minor damage to it the lid was a little bent down the middle, and there is a big indentation on a side. Everything's great from the boxing, to the quality and content of the manga. One issue, however, is that vol. 8 in all box sets is misprinted and unfortunately resulted in needing to purchase this volume separate.

I was in love with the Chainsaw Man anime so I thought I'd get a jump on collecting the manga and this was just what I was hoping for. It was on sale when I bought it and I would highly recommend snagging it up when it is cause it's great. It comes with every volume up to 11 and even a cool double sided poster that, while small, is still beautiful. It can also be used as a carrying case as it has a handle to hold onto when moving it. ... show more
