Im not really sure what made me decide to get my kids a dot other than the price was too good to pass. I got this as a Christmas present. I was only hoping that it would play music to create a safe space for my kids when they are over stimulated. I got so much more with Alexa! I am ready to cry tears of joy rn because Alexa is so helpful to a single mom like me. Alexa has created a buffer for all those mom mom mom why why why questions. Ask Alexa. The sound scapes enhance my kids imaginary play and get them in the zone for studying. They ask to listen to a story every night and now I dont have mom guilt cuz “Ask Alexa”! Alexa reads to them every night. Then keeps them in a sound sleep with the sound scapes. My kids love the drop in feature and call me all the time. Bought this for my nephew’s 5th Birthday and his older brother and him are having a blast and driving their parents crazy at the same time lol What are Aunties for :) All jokes aside they really love it!!! They love that they can ask her so many questions and that she plays all the songs they like. The mini dance parties are adorable. They drag that thing everywhere. I was going to buy another one because of course they fight over it. It’s unfortunate that there’s only 2 options.
