  • Its better than the original in so many ways - quality, backlit, and remote finder are a plus.
Configuration: Remote only
I didn't think I'd need to buy this but I did and I'm glad I did. I received a Fire TV Omni for Christmas a couple years ago and I still like it. After a couple years, the remote started to feel a feel slippery from use, the buttons weren't as responsive, and the battery cover kept coming off. It basically felt a little cheap as time went on. I bought this as a replacement. The texture and feel of this new remote feel a lot better and not cheap at all. the texture and quality of the plastic feels like a huge improvement and the response time actually seems a bit better but that could be relative to my experience to the past one dragging for a bit. I absolutely love the backlit lights and the remote find is definitely cool. I didn't think I'd need it but sure the first day I did and it worked perfectly. the ability to preset a couple buttons and headphone pairing is also a plus My only real gripe is the pre-preset buttons. I like the idea of it but I don't use DirecTV or peacock so now I just have two useless buttons that sit there. If I accidently touch them, Firetv wants me to download the app etc. Its a bit of a waste of time and space. Frankly with Alexa you don't need the preset buttons. My only gripe ... show more

  • Perfect Remote For The Latest Firestick 4K Max
Configuration: Remote only
I was having a lot of problems with the Apple TV in our guest room. Janky audio and video. I decided to try another platform to see if the problem was actually the Apple TV or the TV itself. I ordered the latest Amazon 4K Firestick Max and found it was indeed the Apple TV that had gone bad. The picture and audio on the Firestick is awesome. However, the one thing I was not all that impressed with was the remote that came with the unit. It's fine as it is, but didn't have several functions I wanted. I decided to see if they offered a more premium remote for the Firestick. They do ... It has several functions that I really like. For example, you can use Bluetooth headphones with it, and it has backlight buttons. The overall feel and heft of the remote is simply more premium than the one that comes with the Firestick. It's also smaller. The first thing I did was pair it with the Firestick (which took all of one minute) and then tried my Bose headphones with it. Again, it took all of one minute to pair it and it works flawlessly. Once paired, you simply push the headphone button on the top right side of the remote and that is all you need to do. The audio immediately switches from the external speaker to the headphones. And the backlight buttons are very helpful in a dark room. The remote also has two customizable shortcut buttons. I haven't done anything with those yet but will set one up for my Favorite Channels. One thing you need to do however is check the compatibility list on Amazon. Evidentially the remote doesn't work with some older Amazon Firestick products. It absolutely works with the latest Firestick 4K Pro. Granted, the remote was an additional cost, but well worth it from my perspective. Glad I purchased it. That said, Amazon should offer it as an optional SKU with the Firestick 4K Pro .... I bet they would sell a lot of them in that configuration. ... show more

  • A Must-Have Upgrade for Your Fire TV Experience!
Configuration: Remote only
The Amazon Alexa Voice Remote Pro has been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup, and it's easily one of the best remote controls I've used. The standout feature for me is the voice control. With just a press of a button, I can search for content, adjust the volume, or control other Alexa-compatible devices—all without needing to look at the remote. The voice recognition is highly accurate, even when there's background noise, making it incredibly convenient to use. The remote is also designed with a sleek, ergonomic shape that fits comfortably in the hand. The buttons are well-placed and have a nice tactile feel, so I never have to fumble around to find the right one. It also includes customizable buttons that I can set to quickly access my favorite apps or commands, which is a great time-saver. One of the coolest features is the remote finder. If the remote ever gets misplaced (which happens more often than I’d like to admit), I can simply ask Alexa to find it, and the remote will emit a sound to help me track it down. This feature alone is worth the upgrade! Battery life is impressive, too. Even with regular use, the remote lasts a long time before needing a recharge, which is a huge plus. In summary, the Amazon Alexa Voice Remote Pro is a must-have for anyone who frequently uses Alexa-enabled devices. It’s a smart, intuitive upgrade that adds a lot of value to the overall experience. I highly recommend it for its ease of use, functionality, and thoughtful design! ... show more
