I purchased this for my husband. He's worked in the construction field for 40 years. So he's a very experienced user. These are his expert opinions I'm relaying to you. He had serious reservations about this because the item specs state only metric. **It has both measurements!** The US standard and world standard. Don't let that part stop you. He is overall very pleased with this product. With a few reservations. The powerful motor cuts through just about everything like butter. No burr mark are left. This really impressed him. Like with everything, if you take the time to select your desired cut specs and set them deliberately then recheck before you cut.... you will get a perfect cut every time. If anyone gives this a negative review it's definitely user error. If you have the skills and knowledge this will make you very happy. His dislikes are that it's got a lot of plastic parts. That's to be expected at this reasonable price point. He wishes the gate was longer so he could use this on larger items (like sheets of plywood). I believe an extension is available that can be purchased separately. That will be a future investment. We can't determine product longevity just yet. He's only had this for a few months. It's been used daily with no issues. If any issues do arise I will update my review. This purchase was to replace a table saw he used for over 12 years before it finally died. This is better in many ways but lacks some perks the other one had (like all metal parts & larger gate. The motor was not as powerful though so lots of burrs.) We got our money's worth out of that. My first table saw. Ripped a lot of 2x lumber down to thin material for my skin on frame canoe build. Success. I was careful and Nothing terrible happened to me.

    • Directions for assembly
I haven't used it yet, but the directions for putting it all together are terrible, I'm not sure if I will be able to assemble it, It has parts that are not labeled and they're not even in the parts list. Not happy at all.

    • you get what you pay for. possibly more frustrating than its worth
cheap and flimsy stand legs. hard to stand it securely level on anything but perfectly level smooth surfaces. But the biggest issue is the fence rail. the whole point of a table saw is to rip smooth, accurate cuts. the fence rail on this thing is just fitted over a weak slide fit with 0 measurement markers. almost impossible to set both ends of the rail properly, causing the slide position to not be parallel to the blade. so you end up binding the blade part way through the rip, forcing you to stop and reset, giving you a jacked up cut. the only way to set the rail accurately is to use a ruler to hand measure each side of the rail with some eyeballed line on the table. possibly ok if youre making the same cut all day long and take the time to set it up. but if your job calls for adjusting the rail for multiple cuts (as most do) i strongly recommend paying extra for something with a lock and pinion fence rail that ensures easy, accurate adjustments ... show more

I bought this for my fiance for Christmas. The box arrived and looked like it had been through WWIII. I opened it and it is obvious the box had been opened before. The inside styrofoam that should hold the table saw in place was already ripped up and just shoved back in the box wherever they could fit it. I would return it, but you have to pay for the shipping which is half the cost. I would not recommend. ... show more
