Bad: I wanted this because I keep getting dirt etc in the pool everytime the wind blows or it rains. Then I find it has holes all over it, about 1" diameter. Not sure if it is so rain will not accumulate or perhaps some safety issue if someone is underneath. But for whatever reason, it allows dirt and debris to get into the water. I wanted the dirty water to stay on top with the debris and then remove it with a pump rather than have it drain into the pool water. I had a tarp but after one year it got holes and started to sink, thought this would float longer since it's bubble wrap. Good: As far as heating the water, it works very well, it is sized good, maybe even a bit larger, and surprisingly it stays on when the wind blows. ... show more

I give this 3 stars, for the price. They do work well, but only will last 1 season. They deteriorate regardless of how well you take care of it. I have rinsed mine every time i took it off, kept it out of the sun while not in use and it started to rip and the end of the season last year. This was the 2nd time I bought this solar cover. The mat was light enough for me to manage on my own. The water temperature went up to 80 degrees after a couple of hours. The grandsons love it because they can enjoy the pool without shivering. Awesome and fits perfectly! It has given us fun in the pool time!

I have a 10’ round x 30” deep intex easy set pool. This said it was for a 10’ round pool. However it is more like 12’ around. Still works but it has a lot of extra material. Was purchased used or open box for just over a hundo. So far the spring has been unseasonably warm and this will help knock out the sting. There's no kids here, it's exclusively for my 6'4" frame to dunk into when the sun beats down after mowing or whatever. The liner is robust and a cheap tarp was purchased and used for added protection. The pump may be undersized but circulates the water well enough and has its own timer... set it to circulate for 2-8hrs . Also I purchased the solar cover to keep the water from being so chilly. Would make a good temp water catchment tank for getting your garden through a dry summer or whatever. The inflatable ring does not like dog nails and doesn't stand up long to a playful puppy who wants to swim too. Easy to repair however with a dab of e6000 glue. ... show more
