This battery was a direct replacement for a 4 year old one in my Land Rover. Upon removing the protective caps on the terminals I noticed the negative one was slightly damaged. But it appeared to be correctly mounted. Installed the battery and car wouldn't start. Checked the voltage. It was 8 volts. Charged the battery up to 100% overnight. The next two days, the car started fine. Didn't use the suv for a full day. Next day, it didn't start. Again the voltage was at 8 volts. After a couple back and forths with Amazon and Interstate, Amazon refunded me. This battery came directly from Interstate, not a third party seller. I know any product can be defective. I used the Amazon Vehicle Guide for my special make and model. Unfortunately, after spending $400 for a premium battery, the terminals on the battery were on the opposing end of the battery vs the stock setup. Therefore, the battery doesn’t fit. Several attempts to return were a failed adventure as the Amazon return page wouldn’t allow for it. Unfortunately, I had to go to a local shop and buy a replacement for the Amazon order. It load tested well after charging. Tested at 100 amps for 10 seconds. The CCA came in at 750 amps. The voltage and CCA never dropped. I allowed the battery to stand for 8 hours after charge then load tested. It is hard to give something more that 4 stars when i've had the battery for 2 days.
