This is a sturdy unit which fit together nicely. The directions could be better and a novice would probably have trouble with the assembly, but someone with mechanical experience should be able to figure it out. The fingerprint reader works better than expected and I am happy to be able to quickly and easily open the safe. Note that although this is called a safe, it is not of the 10 ton bomb proof variety. A thief with tools and some time could get in, but it would take a little work. This is more for keeping kids and curious visitors out, which is what I wanted. Good purchase. ... show more

I had some issues at first which were a little annoying with the seller. Important thing to know is that all of their safes are the same size, one of their listings just has the wrong measurements. Just reach out before buying to make sure you have the right dimensions… lesson learned. Otherwise this gun “cabinet” is great. Just be sure to pay attention to the directions when assembling. Does the job and keeps my stuff safe. I did not anchor it as I live in an apartment complex, but I put my Thor hammer weight in the back as seen in the photo to stabilize it. I added my own felt to complete the look, and I used rug holders to keep the bottom felt it came with in place. I also added LED motion sensing lights to it because the lighting it comes with is laughable. It uses Hornady square lock system so keep that in mind for accessories.     • Good safe but has issues.
So it's been 6 months since I bought the safe and all of a sudden it just quit working. Wouldn't lock after print,code or with key. Of coarse there is only a 30 day warranty on the product. I emailed the company for help no response. I seen a review where a guy had the same issue and they sent him a video how to open up and fix. We'll i took it upon myself and it was very simple. There is a button looking object that pops up to lock the door and that was unable to do so. I adjusted the bar that crosses it's path and now my safe works again lol. Besides that good for the buy keeps kids away from certain objects. But very thin and the alarm does not go off when tampered with. With that said I still give it a 4 stars. ... show more

For the price, the features and size of this safe is great. I have it mounted to wall and I have absolutely no issues with this item. Fingerprints, setting the code, alarm settings were a breeze. Assembly was a breeze...I setup by myself and it took me roughly 2 hours (took my time). My only disappointment about the safe is that the led light is dim. But I fixed that by purchasing a motion light for $10 (problem solved). Other than that, I have no regrets on this purchase. Anyone on the fence buying this, pull the trigger. ... show more

I cannot recommend this safe. I bought it because it was one of the larger safes for its price. When I received it, the locking mechanism was broken; instead of sending me a new one, they sent me a pretty complicated video on removing the back lock cover to fix the pins that hold the locking mechanism together. They thought it would need adjustment. What I found was that one of the pins was missing. See picture. Had I not fixed it myself, I would have had a safe that the door would not close. After putting it together, it was my only option. Oh, by the way, the instructions to put it together are small and horrible pictures. ... show more

    • What I Expected
It's Amazon, so you know you're getting a Chinese product. Set your expectations accordingly, and you'll do fine. Pros- -Priced to sell. -It does what it promises, which is to provide a secure place to store weapons. It won't keep the lockpicking lawyer out, but it will keep the kids out. -The door pockets are nice and convenient. Cons- -Flimsy sheet metal that makes loud war-drum like noises during moving and assembly. Don't try to put this together while your neighbors are sleeping. -The small shelves that sit on the corners are a cruel joke. They couldn't be bothered to bend the tabs at the factory, and they want you to grab pliers and bend the tabs yourself, causing imperfect and misaligned bends that causes the shelves to pop out. These are best thrown away, and other creative uses of the panels should be considered. -The instructions suck. They're just poorly drawn pictures with no written instructions. You have to look for VERY subtle clues that tell you which direction certain panels are supposed to be oriented in. -The foot pegs that were included are not for the model of safe I purchased. The instructions call for a different set. -The interior side panels they included are unnecessarily difficult to install because they call for sheet metal screws instead of using machine screws with a welded nut. The pre-drilled holes for the machine screws were not aligned properly. -The 10-12 gun storage is misleading. It's more like 6-7 long guns with 4 pockets for pistols. ... show more

Putting it together wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done.. probably took me 20 minutes. Once together, setting up the pin and fingerprint were easy. It seems to recognize my fingerprint fine. Had a few others try to get in and they were denied. I've been needing to get one to store my guns in for awhile to keep them locked up, and this does the job nicely for a lot less than what I thought I'd be spending. I will later on buy a more heavy duty one, maybe a bit bigger as my collection grows, but for now this is awesome for what I paid for it. ... show more
