  • Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. Results aren't final.
I've an RJ45 cable that runs about 135 feet from the router to my wife's PC. It suddenly stopped working. I figured it was the built-in ethernet part of here PC, so I ordered this to take over that role. Still no connectivity. But I also ordered a wireless adapter card and installed it, and that does work. So if that fails, I will be looking at going either wired or wireless in the future, As long as she's connected, my wife could care less as to how. ... show more

  • Windows 2008 R2 Adapter
It was hard to locate a 1Gbps NIC card that was compatable with Windows 2008 R2, but this is the one. The installation was easy and the card performed perfectly. I was very pleased with the purchase but was a little disappoionted that the product was previously opened and possibly repackaged especially since this was supposed to be a new product. ... show more

  • Works as advertised.
I chose this card because the Realtek chipset is compatible with my hackintosh. No complaints. I've tested the speed against other cards and it's right on. I'd recommend it for gigabit speeds where you need the Realtek chipset.

  • Failure of both product and support
Bought this card to upgrade my computer after upgrading my network to 1000baseT. Not only did the card not work but I got no support from customer service. It may be the computer (HP) but tech support was oblivious to any type of fix. They just said sent it back. Not what I wanted. Now I am wary of ordering any 1000baset NIC card and will just wait until my next computer and make sure it has 1000baset capable. ... show more
