This CPU motherboard combo (ASUS Z-690 E) is a powerhouse with upgrade potential. Grab this, go to town and then look up how to flash a BiOS compatibility update to the motherboard so it can take 13th gen chips later on when you want to upgrade your performance. The Z-690 E I picked was a DDR5 motherboard and I suggest choosing XMP II in the settings to get the most out of your RAM as I've heard of people having grief with XMP I. When hooking it up definitely consult your manual often though as the fan plugins are all over the place. If you're a creator, look up what audio codecs are on your board before you buy it though. I believe Z690 motherboards actually have better audio codecs than the Z790 line. Shop smart my friends :) ... show more
