Love that I can cook soups, stews and yogurt all in the same appliance. Removable top for easy cleaning. Less than half the price of competing brands. Five stars!!! I had my 6 quart Instant Pot for the past 15 years, but it had no Sous Vide function, so decided to upgrade to the new one. The first time I used it, I did not remove paper seal from one of the parts inside the top, and it created a giant mess. Then I thought it takes forever to warm up before cooking compared to my old Instant Pot. I put it on 'Saute' function first, and it seemed to do the trick for the first few weeks. Now I don't notice it being slow heating up, maybe it needed some time to get used to. I have cooked beans, rice, dumplings, used Sous Vide funciton, and have made yogurt in this device. Yogurt and Sous Vide are amazing and easy to cook, I especially love Sous Vide funciton, and appreciate that I can set the temperature. The meat turns out absolutely delicious, and I don't even need to buy special sous vide bags, I just use Ziploc brand, which is sous vide certified, and it's very cost effective. When I cook beans, this instant pot seems to cook them not as well as my 15 year old one, so I make sure I soak the beans first, and I set some extra time to cook them. Otherwise, this is an exceptional device, and I can't say enough how much time it saves me in cooking! After getting used to and workout out some issues, this is my new favorite device! ... show more

It was easy to use and time saving. I used mainly pressure cook option to cook food. The time can be customised easily starting from one minute to more for pressure cooking. However, I had to return the product due to difference in Electrical voltage power output. In US and Canada, the volt output is 120v and where I was using it the volt output is 240v. I was able to use it only once and after that due to volt output difference, it malfunctioned. Therefore, I returned back the product. Currently, I am using another multi-pressure cooker but the options are not that customisable. Instant Pot was perfect but had to replace. ... show more

I made the right choice. Love it! I've already cooked 3 times in it. I made white rice, a roast with carrots and potatoes, and homemade hamburger helper. All were wonderful. I was afraid 8 quarts was too big for 2 people but I love making 2 meals and freezing some for later.

Gave to son for Christmas. He called me three times - evidently he didn't see the pressure regulator that was located on bottom of the box. He ran it dry twice. Said he read the directions??? Anyway, works perfectly when you use all the parts. His old instant pot was a 5 quart and not big enough for his family. I purchased this as an "open box". ... show more

I have been using some form of electric pressure cooker for a year or so. I started with a Crock Pot 10 quart, but it didn't last long and I couldn't buy parts for it. So I next bought a used and terribly dented Instant Pot air fry 8 quart and that was great. I just had to get rid of it after about 6 months because I put the base under running water and it got into the huge space from the dent right next to the screen. Oh well, I bought this one 2 days ago, got it today, and used it for dinner. It is faster than the air fry one, maybe because no huge dent? I don't know, but I have a lot of kids, and I cook most all meals in this. Next payday I am buying a 2nd one so I can make double of everything. It was hard to make it through the 2 days without it! I guarantee that if you buy this, you will use it all the time.UPDATE: I have had this for just under 8 months and it quit. Got an error message for the pressure sensors but those can't be fixed. Even if they could, my son and I took the bottom off to try, did some messing with the sensors like it said in a youtube video, plugged it in, and smoke! Its fried. So, since I rely on this thing too much, I have to order another one. Is it worth $150 every 8 months or so? I have to say yes. I have 11 kids, and use it at least every other day. It saves electricity vs my electric range/oven and saves a bunch of time. I am just really disappointed in this brand. I expected more. I use it probably 3 to 5 times a week. Is that excessive? I don't think so. Have to wait now til I can afford to buy the next one, so the next few weeks will be a bit challenging. Since I have to live without it for a while though, I might change my mind and skip it. Good luck to all of you with this. You will love it, but can you live without it when it breaks? ... show more
