  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome paddle board
Easy to inflate and deflate. Works great to pack up and go. Holds weight well and glides across water smoothly. Comes with everything you need.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars All you need to get start with SUP as a new past time
This stand-up paddle board setup is a great way to get into the past time without a lot of costs and extra things to buy. It is in the lower to medium-low price range but has all the necessary features that one should look for. The kit comes with a pretty nice inflatable paddleboard, the paddle which breaks down into three sections, a separate bottom fin (only one), the safety cord, a patch kit, a pump, and a carrying bag. All are adequate and not super high-end, but at this price range, it is actually a pretty nice kit. The bag is a bit thin and is a duffle style rather than a backpack style. It will work, but I see that as one of the first things that will probably wear out... but that is easily replaced, and at only 23 pounds deflated this board can fold up pretty small, so it should fit just about any large backpack or duffle bag. The board itself is pretty thick and durable, has a wide and stand-up area that is nicely textured and non-slip. The board has only one bottom fin which makes it less stable than boards that have three, but again, at this price, it is expected. The front storage has a shock cord with 4 rings. It is not huge, but then probably adequate for the things you would take on short outings with this type of board. I am a firm believer in not carrying a bunch of stuff with you on your board anyway.... personal opinion. I only pumped this board up about halfway just to try out the pump. It pumps well enough blowing air on the way down. I am not sure how long it would take to fully inflate, but if you are going into the SUP arena for exercise and fun, I would invest in a portable inflator anyway. It deflated pretty easily as well. I did not take it onto the water because it is Winter here still and I would rather get a review in of the kit before people start buying their Spring and Summer gear. I will update this review with an on-the-water opinion if it does not perform as expected. Overall, a great starter kit and one that should last you quite a while before you needed to dump a load of cash into a higher-end model. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to setup
Great when scrunched for space! Inflates quickly and can be attached to a pump !

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Light, very basic, inflatable paddleboard set where everything works
The small cut on the bottom of the paddleboard did not leak air, but it is concerning to have the bottom arrive damaged. How well will it hold up to scraping on rocks? The bit of gouging on the slide-in part of the fin was another possible sign that the fin would not resist damage well. The set is light: 20 lbs total. There were no instructions included. Nothing labeled as to what the max inflation is. Other paddleboard sets come with storage bags that can be worn like a backpack. This one comes with a white nylon, zippered end, duffle with two hand straps and no way to carry over a shoulder. It is lighter than the backpack bags but not as easy to carry. The paddle comes in three sections. The top section slides into the middle section and has size markings to help with always putting it back together at the desired length. The middle section has a single lever to flip to hold the top section. After installing the top section, be sure to check that the lever is tight enough: if it isn't, try turning the lever once or twice and rechecking (there is a phillips screw that can be tightened if turning the lever doesn't work). The middle section snaps into the blade section. The edges there needed to be smoothed. This was the easiest skeg to insert of any paddleboard I've used. There is also only one skeg, so keeping this paddleboard going in a straight line is more challenging than the paddleboards with three skegs. The pump is single pump (inflation only happens on the down stroke). The deflate port (on the body of the pump) and the inflate port (on the handle) are not labeled. The pump worked okay: 340 or 440 pumps to reach 15 PSI (I'm not sure which due to oxygen deprivation hitting at 300 pumps). Unless you want the exercise and time spent, look into a good air pump for paddleboards. The air valve is the usual push and twist lock connection for the hose. The exhaust button does not lock open, so use the hose to hold the valve open while rolling up the paddleboard. A tool is included for tightening the air valve (I did not need to). There is also a square of the blue material to use for patching. No glue included. The deck padding helps with footing but is not thick. The front storage has four corners and slack shock cord. I prefer storage with six attachment points and more shock cord. Play it safe and also attach whatever is being stored to one or more D rings. There are no D rings for attaching a seat. The leash was comfortable and sizeable for thin to thick ankles. The tether line was a good length coiled and could stretch as far as I needed it to without pulling hard on my ankle.
