  • Use eggs laid around same time
When you hear chirping from inside the eggs that means stop turning the eggs or the babies will die. It may be difficult to determine which eggs are chirping if you have different age eggs laid at different times so it's best to use eggs laid around the same time. The small chicks fall out of the trays between the tray edge and the door, so pull the trays about three or four millimeters closer to the door. Supervise the babies. Leave them in the incubator a day or two until they are dry and fluffy. If putting under a brooder plate then change brooder plate temperature to 105 fahrenheit. Give water and food after you take them out of incubator. They can be in incubator for two days maximum. Never candle eggs within two weeks of hatching. Incubator worked great. ... show more

  • Large view cabinet style incubator
Economical cabinet style incubator with a very large unobstructed view. Keep temperature perfectly with one tray but when using two trays, might see fluctuations with temperature differences betweeen the trays. Top tray usually higher in temperature than the lower tray. This might be as great as 1/2 degree F. But if you are just using one tray, it will keep temperature perfectly. While using two trays one should adjust accordingly. The humidity is also a little off so you might want to set it up higher. Nevertheless, Overall pretty decent for the price of a cabinet incubator. ... show more

  • Great incubator
It works well, hatched a few Coturnix quail. I bought 2 so I can have one for the first 14 days and the other set for lock down /hatch day (Higher humity). You should also use a separate Hygrometer/Thermometer to compare. Both the temps were right but humidity was off 4%. Turners turned every 2 hours. For Quail you have to program it for that. Just read the instructions. They are very helpful. Only thing I would like, for my needs, I wish the basket had a cover basket to stop jumpers, Quail are so small they can fall down the small space between the viewing window and baskets. Falling down to the lower basket or floor of the incubator. Next time I will make something to stop that from happening. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Decent concept, but needs help.
So I bought this because I wanted a small cabinet style and my mom gave me eggs to incubate but incomplete incubators. It's cute with a small footprint, I set it up with my sensors so I could see where the heat is and what temp adjustments I would need to make. Well, the temp wasn't going above 80 on the lower shelf with the temp set at 120. When I was trying to troubleshoot, I discovered the fan wasn't moving. I took a small screw driver to try and spin it and it started for a couple minutes before stopping. Reached out to the company and they sent a replacement which arrived yesterday and it also has a fan issue. The first one I was able to get the fan to keep running, but I'm constantly checking it. I like the compact design, so I think I'm just going to get a replacement fan for the unit. I haven't figured out the wifi it says it has and the instructions mentioned it as optional, just curious on what it does. If you can't figure out the lights, one click turns on/off the internal light, hold for 5 secs to turn on/off the candling light. The instructions for the unit aren't too complicated to understand, but it's not something you can just glance at or speed read through. Notes: with the fan working the temp and humidity sensor reads accurate. The temp reads the top shelf, so when programming adjust the temp to the second one but don't exceed the safe range on the top shelf for your eggs, mine is about .7 difference between the shelves. If the fans worked right away, I would've given 5 stars. ... show more

  • great cabinet style incubator, works well,
recently hatched 42 bobwhite quail with this machine out of 60 eggs. , 23 days incubation. hatch rate percentage of 70%, 10 were infertile, so in reality 84% of the fertile eggs hatched. Construction appears a little thin, but works well and maintains temp and humidity well. egg turner works well. water tube may kink so be careful to check if there is a bend. very happy with the result and Price was very economical ... show more

  • You can't use this unit for hatching eggs!!!
Hello. My unit is missing the turner on the bottom rack, broken on the machine end. No button for the candling light, and while it's set to 101, my hygrometer reads 86. Also the water inlet literally just 100% drained the whole bottle of water into the unit. There's so much wrong with this product I can't help but think it was dropped. Otherwise it seems to be made well enough (for the price) provided everything worked on it. I've contacted the seller, I can update the communication at that point. Update, There was no response from the seller. I'm sending it back and ordering something else. ... show more
