I got this to try to hatch quail eggs for the first time. This was very easy to set up and I started using it before the eggs came. I don't use a bottle for humidity, I just add a cap full of water in the reservoir and it stays around 35%. The temperature reading is off and you can't measure humidity so should also buy a hygrometer ... show more

First time at home Hatcher. I feel the directions were a little confusing. After a week my husband realized I had it out together wrong. I carefully corrected it, but only had two out of 12 hatch. Painful lesson

    • Unsafe for chickens. Too small
I bought this to hatch 2 polish chickens. One newly hatched chick lost its footing and fell rolling it in its back. The chicks toe got lodged in top and cut its toe almost in half.

So far so good have done 2 batches of chicks back to back with good out come. The only issue is the water bottle holder is a little bigger then a bottle top but not to hard you will spill some when filling. holds plenty of eggs except gets crowded once they start to hatch. Would like to be able to read the humidity inside and be able to switch temp to Fahrenheit but ok just mark the eggs to make sure it's spinning them mine did just fine but some reviews said stopped working. Like I said 2 batches and no issues. Quality seems good and easy to set up and get started. Temperature seems to hold pretty good ... show more

I used to hatch eggs quite a bit and only used high end, pricy incubators but I stopped for a while. I decided to start up hatching again and just get a inexpensive incubator. Well its easy to set up, and the water bottle is easier so you dont have to constantly have to open it to check the water, but it can get messy But still a plus.Ive had it running a lil over a week and I candled the eggs and all of them are developing. So so far so good. All in allit seems to be well worth the price.I will update after hatch day. ... show more

This could use some work. 1. It didn't seem to turn the eggs like I expected it to. (I was in the room for hours never hearing it turn them and had to push the button to get them turned.) 2. There has to be an easier way to put a bottle onto this! It does not have one so it's a trick to find one to fit. 3. There's nothing that is keeping the bottle secured and it keeps tipping over making a bigger mess. Might give it one more try but it seems like more work than what it's says it will be but it certainly wasn't the most expensive one out there. ... show more

This is a great smaller incubator for your back yard flock. Does a great job of retaining and holding the heat and the humidity, as well does an superb job of turning the eggs as needed.
