Got this for my granddaughter for Christmas because she wanted to hatch some of her chickens eggs and it is working. She placed some fertilized eggs on Christmas morning and they are about to hatch soon. She has been able to watch them grow and for a kid that is amazing. Very much worth the money.

I am using this for quail. I already have a bigger cabinet incubator with rollers, but needed another incubator to specifically use for the “lock down” days and potentially for when I have more eggs to develop than expected. Was on the fence over a few different cheap box style incubators and this one had some reviews specifically mentioning that the temperature and humidity readings were accurate and the temperate is consistent. Figured it is worth the try. It is smaller than I was envisioning, but the feel of the machine is better quality than some, its fan is quiet and powerful and I like the viewing window in the styrofoam. I wouldn’t use this for bigger birds, but this should do the trick for a small amount of quail to hatch. A little annoyed by the wire that goes to the turn motor and there is a screw sticking out through the side where the turn motor is attached to the plastic base. The rollers are good quality though and I am sure those would work fine. The annoying thing is that the “hatching net” doesn’t fit over the top of the roller holders, so the surface area for chicks to hatch and dry themselves is limited, I will most likely place something in there to mitigate that. Otherwise I like the height of the box and that the chicks would not touch the fan, but again that’s for little quail. Looking forward to seeing how my hatching goes. ... show more
