Big theft deterrent chain linked with cuffs that need a key to lock/unlock is secure and effective for what you get. The bag seems secure with the Velcro straps, however I own a Hover H1 Boss R500 scooter and the handlebars where the top of the bag’s Velcro straps would go is very wide and put strain on the straps and would not go all the way to the end of the Velcro strap itself when securing it. Not sure if I got a bad bag by default if the strain caused it but the base of the strap seems to be falling off (see pic and video). I wish this bag could have been designed to be more securely attached to the scooter and not reliant on the handlebars, otherwise great product and the chain itself is terrific ... show more

This product allows you the convenience of getting in and out of locations quickly and with ease. The only thing I see wrong with this, is that you must hold the key in the open position to adjust the locking mechanism and then turn the key back again when the locking position is reached to lock it (the opposite of how handcuffs work). I would NOT trust them for long periods of time on very expensive bikes, scooters or EV's, etc, etc, etc, since a professional thief would only needs a minute or two to steal it. Getting the combo pack helps, as you would have the ability to store them on your personal vehicle. Strong locks easy to use. Chain will do but I would feel a little better if it was a bit thicker. Good for quick store runs but I use more if I have to lock up for a period of time. Note using for e-bike not scooter. Rubber coating is nice as well as the chain cover to prevent scratches. You still have to be careful as not all the metal can be coated. ... show more

Unfortunately, looks may be deceiving. The appearance of this type of lock shows sturdy, dependable and fast action locking. All the above are true, which is fantastic, however, the unit was tampered with (sadly while donating blood) only to find that apparently it's not only easy to break the lock, but not accessible to repair without destruction of the locking mechanism itself. I bought this lock for my over two months ago and I came back to write this review. I have my scooter for college commuting and someone tried to steal it today. There were track marks on the ground and the acceleration lever on the scooter was pressed down when it shouldn’t have been. They even tried to pick the lock and couldn’t do it. But THAT LOCK withheld the force of the scooter possibly reaching up to 19 mph speeds while locked to the rack AND resisted from picking the lock. Plus the extra 2 keys it comes with is nice because I’m clumsy and lose them a lot. Overall I recommend if you’re really nervous about theft. Spend more for the better quality lock! ... show more
