The assembly was a little challenging but quite enjoyable. My Wife and I made a party out of it, taking several breaks for refreshments and to admire our progress. The media could not be loaded. I love this thing! A bit more complex to build than typical because it's large sized and really we'll-made. Very handsome looking thing on patio, deck, etc. It attracted comments and compliments from guests, what are those things that you'll be proud to own! The removable grilling tray is "easy in - easy out" for cleaning. I use a metal screen made for grilling to go easy on the grilling tray itself. We've enjoyed all sorts of summer grilling fare with this, holds all we need to feed the troops, and cleans up beautifully. This autumn-winter, I plan to stock some logs and make a raging fire in this fireplace, leaves falling, chill in the air, warmed by this round fireplace with colored flames in the globe providing some sage and welcome ambience for the holidays. It's very well made, doesn't rattle or squeak. Do lube the joints - moving parts with a bit of WD40 to avoid rust and keep the lid moving well. Price is great on Amazon and don't be out-off by putting it together. It's all worth an hour of building to cook in nice weather and warm you in the chill air. Highly recommended! ... show more

For the price, this is a cute little fire pit. Good airflow, easy to assemble (my 12 yr old did it) Easy to open/close while using. This is not a one and done purchase. Anyone expecting a heavy, solid, 5+year product; this is not it. It’s lightweight, semi flimsy. It did match my expectations and works perfectly for our small city backyard. We purchased this fire pit globe to have a different look to our fires. This gives us a better sense of the fire, so pets can't get directly into it when closing the grate. Very sturdy build, just the right size. It was awkward to carry for 1 person, but 2 of us moved it into place with no problem. It has sat through rain and light snow. Rust resistant so far. Update: after laying out all parts, most nuts come pre-assembled to whatever item they are holding, somewhat misleading in assembly manual. Apparently 3 of them fell off sometime during transit, found one in box but never found the other two but canalized an older grill in garage and was able to finish assembly. Overall not bad for the money, but don't expect it to last very long and dont' know how much wood it can actually hold, fire basin only rests on 4 small screws that assemble the bottom pieces. And when snugging down nuts on the fire basin the black coating chipped and flew off in an rather surprising fashion. Parts are a struggle to line up at times, don't tighten anything down till you get the screws thru all the holes. And assembly order in manual should be re-arrange somewhat, would really help during assembly. Missing critical parts, unable to assemble without them. Called out in manual but not in package. Package was not damaged so do not believe they fell out, just never put in. Have send feedback to seller, will update this once I know out come. ... show more
