  • Good Fun! But Much To Figure Out.
Size: Keys 2
This is my first MIDI keyboard controller, so I don't understand all the bells & whistles yet. I'll just talk about the physical keyboard. The tactile sense pretty good, weight like a melodion, and is perfect for traveling. The key response can be iffy. Sometimes, when you're pressing down for a quieter note, it doesn't register at all. (To be fair, there's dials and buttons that might adjust that...or even the software you work with, so it might not be a knock against the keyboard itself). Having a headphones jack is really nice. By using a 1/8-1/4" adapter, I can plug directly into an audio interface for online jam sessions. Powered from the USB is nice; no batteries to worry about (although you should watch your tablet/mobile device power). I have much to discover about it, but I'm not disappointed by my purchase. Until I can adjust the sensitivity and figure out what all the dials & buttons do (there's no documentation that came with it), I will leave it at a 4-star. ... show more

  • Great portable keyboard
Size: Keys 2 Pro
It’s great for the price and feels quality. I do wish it was a bit more compact

  • Great keyboard controller for its purpose
Size: Keys 2 Pro
I was looking for table top keyboard controller for my office, and tried more than a few. This iRig is about the only one I was able to find that more-less meets my requirements and the price. I decided I need full-size keys. I tried mini keys, but they are very hard to play. Then, total number of keys this iRig has is 37, and that is great! Anything less is not really playable, anything more does not fit my desk. Previous version is cheaper, but has no knobs, and knobs are very practical to be programed to specific MIDI CC. Pros: 1. Keys are very nice for the controller 2. Right size/weight for table top keyboard 3. Device has USB and MIDI ports 4. Device has Headphone port 5. Many programable knobs 6. Very easy to program and to use 7. Well-written manual Cons 1. I do not like software that comes with the controller 2. This controller is not really portable, could have been smaller, however is perfect for table top 3. I wish it has built-in sound module and a speaker, but it does not. Not a big issue, but... 4. Price is somewhat expensive, could have been cheaper 5. I wish they include dust cover, could be very useful 6. Has proprietary midi ports, comes with only one adapter, requires an additional adapter for MIDI IN 7. Travel case is hard to find, and it is expensive. Keyboard fits the case overly tight. Note, if you are looking for a keyboard for beginners - do not buy this, this is not actually a keyboard, this one is a controller. Buy electric piano with 88 weighted keys instead. With that said, if you need a controller for traveling - look elsewhere, this one is too large. If you need one for your desk - this may be the perfect choice. ... show more

  • Worth it
Size: Keys 2 Pro

  • The top C key does not work
Size: Keys 2 Pro
I have never tried a new keyboard that had a defective key right out of the box. The top C key, the highest key, does not work. I suggest trying out all they keys on your keyboard before the return window expires. Now I will have to send it back. Aside from that, it looked like an ok keyboard. But on a keyboard the keys have to work. ... show more

  • Excellent velocity action. Key action feels great. No disappointments here.
Size: Keys 2
Excellent quality and action on this keyboard. I bought it for my Roland MC-707 and it works beautifully. I had been using my MicroKorg S as a controller for the MC-707, but the key action on that is not the greatest. This little keyboard is a complete joy to play and I'm VERY happy with the purchase. I feel the price is good as well. I often piddle around on my gadgets in bed after my wife falls asleep and this thing is so quiet! What I mean is, while I'm playing through my headphones, the tapping on the keys is so quiet I won't have to worry about keeping her awake while I'm doing my late-night composing. In that regard it is the quietest keyboard I own...and I own about 8. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with this item. I love mine. ... show more

  • Easiest for Apple users.
Size: Keys 2 Pro
This irig is really convenient for Mac users which is plug and play. Right out of the box it was easy to use no hassles. It is a 37 keyboard but maybe for a “Pro” keyboard it should be 49 keys or something. I love that it has a headphone jack which is easy to plug in headphones and speakers. I have this connected to a Sonus subwoofer and monitors and it sounds fantastic. I use Logic Pro and love the sounds as well as Main Stage. I would’ve loved for this to be weighted keys but I let it pass cuz it’s portable. This actually fit perfectly in my checked bag for my trip and was easy to carry. It is very light which I love. It has a midi out and in which is great to have and brings cables like usb to lighting for iPhone or iPad. This is my main board for mixing now and I’m in love with it. I would highly recommend! ... show more

  • Nice VERY compact controller
Size: Keys 2 Mini
Since I need a mod wheel for too many things, this controller wouldn't work well for me by itself, but combined with another controller with a mod strip or wheel, it works well to add a couple more octaves in a very small footprint. The four knobs are a nice bonus that you often don't find on small controllers. If your needs are similar, or if you just need something very compact to put in a bag and you don't need a mod wheel/strip, this works well enough. The keys are small, but I found the feel decent enough (I'm not a piano player, though). ... show more
