We have a Malinois, similar to what the product image shows. Malinois are working dogs often with police and military, for a reason. We were looking for a crate to keep our Mal away from strange people in the house. This crate works really well. It looks great and most importantly our Mal loves it in there. The sturdiness is reasonable but I would not use it for a working mal that you don't control. The lock could be improved. We use an extra strap to make sure the door can't be opened. We love the feature that allows you to partially open the roof. It allows visitors to make contact while the dog is controlled. Also makes the dog feel a little more comfortable with a sense of openness. Assembly wasn't too hard. Pay attention were the roof hinge goes and don't mix up the side panels like I did. The media could not be loaded. Perfect for what I need. I was looking for something with a furniture style, for my home office and found these. The ones I bought are the XL size. The black dog in the photo is a "giant lab" and weighs 130-140lbs. He fits very comfortably inside the crate. The boxer is 65lbs. She regularly stole her brother's larger kennel all the time so I decided to buy her an XL size also. Afterall... it is her birthday :). When I put them together and moved them into my office, they IMMEDIATLEY went inside of them to lay down and take a nap. Assembly - Assembly was really easy. I put both of them together om my own in just under 2.5 hours. Directions are pictures only but very clear and well drawn. All of the parts were in the box and each screw came with one extra in case you lose or misplaced one. The only tool I had to provide was a philips screw driver. Review - they are very nice and add a touch of class to the room. I'm not so sure they would hold up well to water so if you are pup training, I would advise to figure out a way to waterproof the bottom. One of the tops came with a bit of damage and one of the latches were missing 2 screws but I used the screws from the hinge from the top opening, since I will not be using that at all, and it worked out great. I will get some use out of these and update after being used for a couple of months but as of right now, I love them. ... show more

The quality of this product is excellent. Very simple to put together. Each piece fit perfectly. Very attractive. (I used this without the shelves because I wanted it to fit under a window.). My dog (cocker spaniel) loves his new home. I highly recommend this product.

This crate is nice and for the most part easy to put together. Some of the instructions don’t have the best picture/description and I did reverse some of the pieces which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars. Once put together, the crate is really nice, sturdy, and looks good. My dog has adjusted well to being in it. This company’s customer service IS a five star! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you ask questions or have concerns they get in touch with you within 24 hours. Great company! ... show more

This crate is so good. I was tired of looking at a basic wire crate the size of my kitchen table, so this seemed like a solid investment. The quality is way better than i anticipated for the price. I dont know that it would be great if you have a dog that chews a lot because some of the welds arent perfect and they could ruin the floor of the crate pretty easily since it is just particle board, but overall it is great and looks so much nicer than your standard crate. ... show more

1st, it arrived ahead of time, so that was great!! 2nd, the set up was so easy, they even threw in a few extra hardware items. 3rd, it looks great, as for chew proof, idk because my dog behaves and does not destroy none plushie items. The design makes it tricky for dogs to chew at the wood because the thicker metal frame is flush, but the wire gage is about the same quality of a standard 36" all wire kennal. The lock mechanisms, all three do a great job. They are ergonomic. The top lift portion is a gimic for me, if anything it will become useless after repeated opening and closing. I would recommend a plastic liner, no matter how good a laminate press wood will get water damage. The large one I got fits a plastic 36 inch standard wire kennal liner. 4th the price for what it is. It was hard to choose the right size. The pictures can be a bit misleading as far as pictures go. The large crate is nice and roomy for an average 10ib dog (mine is Pomeranian). I like I can put a water bowl in there too and she has room to move around. I thought it was very easy to put together. I would suggest for a larger dog to go up a size to the XL if you want them to have room! ... show more

I loved the idea of having a piece of furniture on which I could put lamps and books that would also house my puppy. My puppy is a 10-month old 89-lb Labrador retriever and he, like most large dogs that would fit in this particular crate, is a leaner. Well, he leaned against one of the doors and sprung the lock. He was happy to be out. The lock isn’t sufficient to keep a dog of his size or larger from escaping. It looks good, and it wasn’t all that difficult for me to put together. Unfortunately, the flimsy lock doesn’t correspond to the size of dog the crate is designed to hold. It does keep my 10-lb Westie secured and I don’t even have to engage the lock.
