As a professional handyman, I’ve assembled a LOT of furniture for clients. I was first struck by the level of quality of the construction.     • Great option for limited space bedroom
Changing to a king bed in a small bedroom and wanted a bed frame to make the most use of the space under the bed. This bed frame is perfect blend of those needs and it's got some style and nice features too. And on Black Friday it was at a great price! I bought the black color which goes great with the rest of my bedroom furnishings that are also dark tones. The wood grain showing through and overall finish of the bed looks very nice and I hope it holds up well. Having the shelf in the headboard and the charging station is something that I never knew I needed but wow is it convenient! And the open frame access to the rear of the bed where the wall outlet is usually found is handy too though it means you have to keep any cables organized. For those who are single, the box is H E A V Y, you will probably need help to wrangle it wherever you are planning to set it up and at a few points in the assembly process. There are of course quite a few parts but all were clearly marked, complete in inventory and arrived with no damage. Pay careful attention to the instructions and the orientation of the parts and use better tools than they send for assembly and all will go well. Once assembled, mattress added and bed made, there is zero noise when you lay down on the bed. And for those who may be "active" sleepers or who might practice endurance maneuvers with a partner also no noises from the bed ;-) The lift mechanism makes getting to the storage a breeze though I wish the listing for the frame indicated max weight of the mattress supported. The mattress I ordered is a thick hybrid coil and foam and it weighs around 140 lbs and it is too much for the lift mechanism to keep aloft. Problem solved by keeping a custom cut and notched length of 1x4 tucked inside the end of the bed to use as a prop. Maybe there are stronger cylinders available that are up to the task which is on my to do list to investigate. Definitely recommend this bed frame and would purchase again. Actually considering doing so for a queen frame to put under my old mattress in the spare room. Maybe next Black Friday. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I chose and spent more money on this bed instead of another because of the reviews on Amazon. Delivery was quick. It came with good instructions and was easy to put together. Note, its very heavy so you'll definitely need help getting it inside, 188 lbs. If I recall. I love how easy this bed lifts to provide all of that storage underneath. I just ordered plastic totes with lids that will fit nicely under it. The outlet's and USB plug ins on the headboard are fantastic, we only have 2 outlets in this room, 1 being behind this bed. This will be used in our guest bedroom so I'm unable to comment further regarding sturdiness for everyday use but it seems pretty solid. ... show more

30 minutes? Uhh...no, but not hard either. The bed goes together easily, and I was pleasantly surprised that the holes were all drilled properly, which anyone who has put together furniture like this before can appreciate. The wood is a laminate and pretty thin, but for the price, that is to be expected. It looks good though. The lift mechanism picked up this 80lb mattress with ease. A couple hints putting it together...if you have your own tools, use them. A proper allan head or even better the allan head 'T' wrenches would have made this go a LOT faster. The supplied one is fine, but it is a combo screwdriver which makes it a little harder to get the bolts to turn in the tighter spots. The other tip is when installing the pistons, leave the nuts a touch loose...rookie mistake on that one. Other than using a nicer wood, they could make a huge improvement on this by just having a little cross-bracing. The whole thing is kind of 'wobbly' when the mattress is up and can come out of square really easily. It is something I will probably try to upgrade myself. So, for the price, it absolutely deserves 5 starts, but it could be just a little better. ... show more

This bed is worth its money all the parts came in with instructions and good quality frame. I got a full size because and it fit perfectly. Functional when you lift the bed up to store items in the bottom. I did a lot of research before buying this and it had great reviews even though there were other bed a little bit less costly this one definitely made everything easy. This bed does not make any noise at all. It is very sturdy and has plenty enough of the parts that would probably make it built to last a long time. The only thing is you have to ensure the proper thickness of your bed; otherwise, you won't be able to use the bottom of the bed as the storage due to difficulty lifting the top. ... show more

Item went together easily and instructions were pit together well. The "faux wood panels" are very flimsy and had some damage during shipping. Depending on the bed the gas lift struts may or may not work. I have the king nectar hybrid and it's just slightly too heavy for them to stay up use caution around pets or kids ... show more
