  • Really nice little frig if your wanting a second one in your big truck.
Size: 20L Color: Gray
Edit: I’m not going to change the rating but I do want to l leave and update about a problem I had which apparently some other reviewers also had. While I was away from the truck, the cigarette lighter plug popped out of the socket to the AC adaptor the refrigerator came with. It doesn’t seem to lock in very well, probably because the spring for the tip is too strong. Fortunately I saw the problem before my food spoiled but it could have been bad. I fixed to problem by wrapping electrical tape around the connection point to hold them together but frankly, I should not have needed to do that. Iceco should really address that as it also pops out when plugged into a cigarette lighter socket. Still think it’s a very good refrigerator otherwise. So bought the GO20 to use as a 2nd refrigerator/freezer for use in my Peterbilt 579. For the space that it needed to occupy and the price, it seemed to be the best option. I will say, that if your putting it in a standard 579 like mine versus and Ultraloft, and have a 24” TV mounted to the standard mount that comes in the Peterbilt, you will need to attach a swivel mount and have the tv at and angle while traveling. In theory based on the dimensions it should fit without the modification but the angle of the back corner of the wall as well as the need to keep the grill on the refrigerator clear means your shy about and inch for all practical purposes. It will fit but it pushes on the tv pretty solidly and a few bumps down the road are going to break the tv. A 22” tv or smaller shouldn’t need any modifications. The refrigerator has and app to control it on iOS and Android. I’m iOS so I can’t speak to Android functionality but on the iPhone it works flawlessly. I’ve seen some other people complain they couldn’t pair the refrigerator with their phone but my experience is you don’t need to. Once you install the app, when it’s near the refrigerator, it just see’s it without needing to go into the Bluetooth menu and pairing. I think it’s using something akin to Ultra Wide Band versus standard Bluetooth to connect. There’s a whole thing in the book about how to calibrate the temp settings versus a thermometer but I didn’t need to do that. The super chill feature will get the left side down to close to zero in about 45 minutes and it will freeze water bottles rather quickly. I find its easiest to set parameters in the app versus on the touch pad on the refrigerator. Everything on mine already came using American units but that can be switched in the app if your feeling French. Reliability in the truck is a mixed bag. It seems to have a hard time maintaining temps when plugged into the cigarette lighter when the truck has been off for a while and I think that has everything to do with the the battery protection built in. It just doesn’t do a good job of sending the actual voltage so even when you set the refrigerator to the lowest protection level, it wants to think your available voltage is lower than it is and I’m running 1kw of solar panels. That’s the bad. The good is that if you have a decent true sine wave inverter like a Xantrax or the one that comes with a Tripac, it will run off of that and all those issues go away. It will not work on a normal inverter like what most of the truck stops sell and if you’ve got a small auxiliary true sine wave inverter, like the little 300 watt one I’m running it’s going to pop it’s protection circuit. My 1000/1500 watt Xantrax seems to be able to run this, a 1000 watt microwave and a couple of battery chargers no problem at the same time. If your going to buy this to use in a truck like I did, your either going to want to buy the grey one that comes with the insulating bag or if you just have to have white, splurge on the bag for $59. The refrigerator is very shiny and the space between the wall and the mattress is tight with a small knob sticking out for the passenger sleeper window. Your going to scratch the heck out of it without the bag. The thing seems to be very energy efficient but I’m guessing the insulated bag helps a lot. Shipping time was not good. It took almost three months to get to me so I am just a bit worried if it needs warranty. I’m guessing that has a lot to do with COVID 19 so I’ll just hope it stays reliable. There where a couple other options I found that would have been a slightly better fit but the amount of storage in them wasn’t as good. There where some others that where using the good compressor that this frig uses that also would have fit and have decent room inside but they where all way more expensive. Shiny plastic shell aside, the GO20 seems to be a well designed machine and it is sturdy. If it holds up which I think it will, it’s dollar for dollar the best bang for the bucks I’ve found and I looked long and hard. I think if your looking for and extra truck frig, you probably can’t go wrong with this frig. ... show more

  • Designed by Tesla with some upgrades from Yugo (Edit 3/26/2021)
Size: 20L Color: White
This refrigerator looks like it is made very well. Very nice fit and finish, like I said, it looks like Tesla made it. And it is VERY quiet. I could sleep right next to it and it does not bother me (I normally wake up at the drop of a pin). That said it has some quirks that look like Yugo added to it. The cigarette plug is very difficult to keep plugged-in, it comes out with just the slightest movement thereby shutting the refrigerator off. Even the plug at the actual refrigerator site was hard to keep connected sometimes also. The cooling seems like it was about 10 degrees off, my separate internal thermometer consistently showed a temperature of about 10+ degrees warmer than what the fridge showed. Ice cream was very soft and it was hard to freeze water. The manual was not clear and hard to understand, one example is the instructions to get it into “Advanced Settings” were very unclear. I had to go to YouTube to figure it out. The instructions says it comes in Celsius by default, but mine was in Fahrenheit (did I get a used one?). I also got an error code once and it stopped working, not sure what it was for or what caused it because of the difficult and incomplete manual. Pros: • Appears to be extremely well made • Has nice touches like soft close lid, interior LED light • Extremely quiet • Can be used as a freezer/refrigerator or just a freezer or just a refrigerator Cons: • Cigarette plug comes apart very easily, turning off the fridge • Actual temperature is much higher than what shows • Water is hard to freeze, ice cream is very soft • Unknown error codes • Very difficult instructions • I have absolutely no idea on how to get it into the advertised 27 watt ECO mode • Main plug difficult to secure Thoughts: When I tested this it was a little warm outside. The freezer could never get below about 10 degrees F (so actually 20 degrees?). It ran constantly. I tested several running situations to try to make it run better. The method I liked the best was to take the divider out and just use it just as a refrigerator at a temperature of 42 degrees for the whole unit. It turned on much less with this setup (using less of my RV batteries) and for me will probably be the way I use it in the future. So I gave this a rather low score of only 3 stars, and also a lot of cons, so the question is would I purchase this again and the answer is yes. It seems to be a quality product with some faults that could be corrected easily and cheaply by the manufacturer. And the size fits perfectly in the area I need. They could have written the manual clearer, they could have made a connection that does not separate so easily, they could explain the error codes, and they could make the temperature numbers more accurate, all easy inexpensive fixes in my opinion. Edit 1/21/2021 ICECO has been very proactive on this review, commenting in the comment section (one of the best things with Amazon reviews, but are now recently gone...bad move Amazon) with a phone number for contact, and suggestions on all my questions/problems. I have updated the review to 4 stars and will test out the F1/F2/F3 suggestion to regulate to temperature, and try out the new cigarette adaptor they sent me for the connection problems. I will further update this review in the future with results. Edit 3/26/2021 ICECO is outstanding with their customer service. They fixed the cigarette cord, cooling problem, and ALL PROBLEMS, etc. A future more extensive updated review will come soon. ... show more

  • Nice little cooler.
I've had this small car fridge long enough to make a fair evaluation. I got the small size because I figured if I got the larger one, we'd load it to the max and I'd end up carrying #100 lbs of cans everywhere when all I wanted was a cool drink with lunch. It's been perfect. Keeps drinks cold, light and easy to move. Quiet enough, it does make some noise while running but not a problem. There were comments about the car plug being too small but I think a previous commenter identified the problem. It's not that the plug is too small, it's the contact spring on the end is stiff enough that it may push the plug out and lose contact. It happened once to me but since I don't use it for "must refrigerate" items it wasn't a problem. I'm just careful to plug it in securely. If it becomes a problem I'll do as the previous post suggests and replace the existing spring with one from a ball point pen. Other than that, it's been a great little fridge. Temp does vary in a range as it shuts off and the display temp goes up then drops as it cycles on but drinks stay cold. The bluetooth phone app asks for more permissions than I really like but I loaded it anyway and it works well. One last thing, I set mine on eco mode and mid range battery protection, then left it plugged into my Mazda 3 acc plug on a warm afternoon and overnight I wanted to see if it would drain the battery. Next morning drinks were cool, fridge had shut off and the car started fine. Like I said, Nice little fridge. I'm going to add a quick edit. I've had this for about 2 months now, including a hot spell. This little fridge sat outside on our covered patio with outdoor temps at 113 . Drinks were cold without fail. ... show more
