Not sure if this is rust powder or part of the coating? My shelf arrived with this brown powder everywhere. Normally when I see this with metal parts and it’s not moist, I’m assuming it’s rust. Before I can assemble this product, I need to whip down the entire work area. As I’m putting it together, all the parts fits nicely. My only real concern is the brown dust, hopefully the self will not rust away since it will live next to a window. Update: I took some additional pics of it. ... show more

It matches all my other furniture and is handy, but almost all of the metal peices had surface rust I had to wipe off of them, and some rust inside the tubing I couldn't get too.
