I can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner. I hung it on my screened-in-porch and it’s the perfect length. If you lock it in place there is very little stretching. As you can see in the photo, I can get multiple sheets hung on it at a time when fully extended and it’s thick enough to support blankets. It is slightly slippery at the ends, so I just use a clothespin they send with it to secure each end. Very easy to install as well. I’ve been using it for several months and no issues whatsoever. Every now and then there's an item that needs to be hung up, either to finish drying or to just prevent wrinkles. I bought a drying rack for my wife last year for all of her delicates, but I wanted a simple option for the laundry area of our house. This is the perfect fit, it's small enough to be out of the way when not needed, but strong enough to hold several items and let them hang, out of the way. Installation into drywall is a snap with the included drywall anchors, and I had this up in a few minutes. It says the cord can be used up to 13 feet, but we're only using about 6 feet, (the space our washer & dryer occupy in their nook) and it locks up nicely when either retracted or stretched across the area. I really love the concept of being able to “put this away” when you don’t need it! I will say I had to get my clothes having juuuust right to not have them sag to the middle. The clips also have to be just right on hangers to hold in place. The wall pieces are sturdy and easy enough to assemble. Definitely better than the collapsible racks I usually use! This is a wonderful product! The cable has a locking mechanism so that it stays taught and doesn’t sag. I love that it recoils and is out of the way when not in use. Absolutely would buy again but it’s of such quality that we’ll likely never need another.

My biggest worries about the Gorilla Line were that the cable would snap or that the anchors would be insufficient to carry the weight, causing the line to be pulled from the wall. But after five months, I've seen no signs of metal or dry wall fatigue. I'm not sure why people are having trouble with the line sagging. The locking mechanism works fine, and ordinary clothes pins hold the clothes in place nearly (but admittedly not quite) as well as with a more traditional cotton line. I have bought four of these lines, all of which have worked perfectly. And together they are sufficient to hold one or sometimes two loads of laundry. I've already seen clear evidence of lower electricity bills, as I rarely run the dryer. It has not taken long to recoup the initial cost. I have not used the lines for bedding, which seems like it might possibly be heavy enough to strain the line, but based on my experience so far, I think it's doubtful that it would. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It’s pretty solid the way we have it secured and it hasn’t fully broken or snapped when weighed down. Where it lacks is when you click it into “lock” it gives way to much slack, so everything slides to the middle. The retract doesn’t work without assistance after about a month of use but it’s not a huge deal. ... show more
