I really like this table, even though it is very weak and unstable because there is nothing holding the shelves' outside frame-piece to the rest of the table, except for screws in the shelves and tabletop. Those are compressed wood which crumbles easily. So, you just have to be careful and don't try moving it around or put heavy things on it, or lean on it. I'm rating this based on what it is which is an inexpensive utilitarian piece. It is not attractive but it's functional. I saw another similar item that looked better, it was made of wood rather than metal but it weighed over 100 pounds. I'm an elderly lady who gets great pleasure from rearranging my stuff occasionally and a +100 pound article would be too permanent for me. I'm moving soon to a very small apartment and this desk will allow me to have my computer and a TV within the same footprint. The photo shows the setup - iMac on top and 32" TV underneath. I am in search of a better TV platform. Also have a 28" high stool ordered. And I want to find or make a fabric cover to disguise the faux wood tabletop and hide the little angled braces. Assembling it was easy except for the three small shelves which would have been easy if I hadn't done it alone. The desk is sturdy and does not wobble at all. Everything was packaged very well and I see no damage to anything. All parts were lettered to match the diagrams. Even the little bags of fasteners had their identifying letter stuck on. The diagrams were clear and easy to understand. I reluctantly withheld one star because I was unable to utilize two of the fasteners (B) that hold the top onto the frame. I began by heeding the advice from reviewer "From NJ" and not fully tightening parts 7. I got all but two bolts in, left them all not fully tightened, and tried for at least a half hour to get the last two into place and still no deal. So then I decided to tighten up parts 7 and the angled brackets and the B bolts that I had managed to get connected to the top. My thinking was that if everything was tight then surely the holes would line up for the final two but my plan did not pan out. I finally gave up on the last two and since they weren't on the same piece of framework I figure it's probably okay. There's a total of eight B bolts and I got six in. So anyway I felt I had to knock off a star for that, I really do not think it's my fault since the top is so firmly connected yet still I am unable to guide two of them in, I don't see how those holes can possibly be correctly aligned. ... show more

I’m using it as a coffee bar and it’s perfect. Good quality, a little tricky to put together/understand the directions so that took a little bit. I love it and it was worth the extra time to put together.

They gave me 3#8 pieces instead of 2#7 and 1#8. Still built the thing just used black tape for the corner support rods since the #8 pieces don't have the screw for them to hold into. Looks nice and is sturdy. 7.6/10 would be better if I had all the parts.

The media could not be loaded. The table is just what I wanted and needed to use as a coffee bar. It was easy to assemble and value was great for money spent. Mine arrived with a small break in the back corner of the table top and I was offered a return/refund by Amazon but like the table so much and need it now didn’t want to take back apart to ship even with the small crack still happy with this purchase ... show more

    • installing the shelves was painful
Everything was packaged well and arrived in good shape. The actual assembly went very well until I got to the shelves. The screws went in easily only so far, and then it was a struggle. I finally had to get a pair of pliers to finish getting the screws tightened. Other than that it is a nice piece of furniture. I am using it as a table for my laser cutter setup. It has enough room for my supplies and the desktop that I use for the software. Now that my fingers no longer hurt I am very happy with the purchase. If you plan to get this I would suggest you have pliers or what I was wishing I had an electric screw driver that works with this type of tool. ... show more
