I recently got the black macbook air and noticed it picks up fingerprints and smudges much more obviously than the grey models so I picked up this shell. I don't think it provides any protection from impacts but it's a sturdy 'low profile' 'crystaline' plastic (not rubbery) and does the job. As a bonus it came with a screen protector that is a little tricky to apply but provides some peace of mind about scratches on the screen. Last it comes with a form fitting keyboard protector which isn't perfect. I can see why some people might just toss this thing but I'm getting used to it and appreciate it because I splashed a tiny bit of water on my old computer once and had to have it repaired. so, I was so nervous to try this out, bc I read mixed reviews about it fitting or not. and the pics didn't quite match up to the Mac air that I got. I am not a computer whiz, but here is what I know... I JUST purchased a MacBook Air with M2 in June 2023. Although, when I look on the receipt, it says MacAir M2 2022. Anyway, this was advertised for the MacAir M2 2022-2023, so I was hoping I was safe. I do not have any of those call letters/numbers on the back of my computer, nor do I have the air vents (even though there were air vents on the laptop cover and it looked like there were air vents on the Macs that were pictures in the ads) I did check the sides (where the plugs/thunderbolt and headphone jack holes are, so that I knew if the cover had those in the right place, I would be good to go. my MacAir is a 13", but in some of the things I read 13.5inch, and so I couldn't figure out which mine was or if they are both the same. anyway...I took a chance. bought this cover. I LOVE IT SO FAR! the hardest part was taking off the plastic wrap that was protecting the cover. it seemed a bit flimsy when I was unwrapping it, but when it is on the computer, I believe it is enough to protect it from some dings/bangs. I popped it RIGHT on (after figuring out which was the top/bottom and which side was the front/back). It went on so easily and it fits well. I can open it all the way. it doesn't cover any of the holes to plug in the thunderbolt cords, magnetic charging cord, headphone jack... and you get a screen cover on, which it does bubble a little bit, but I can't even tell when I am using my computer. it is nice to have something covering/protecting the screen. I didn't try to use the keyboard protector. I don't like the feel of the rubber. BUT we also got a little pen drive looking thing that has a USB adapter /can plug into one of the thunderbolt drives. a PLUS! I think...for the price paid, it is a good value. ... show more

I needed a case for my new MacBook Air, not only for protection but also to grip the computer when taking it in and out of my backpack. The case I have is a frosted clear and it does the job. I have very dry hands so when I use lotion it gets all over the computer. I'm concerned that my dry fingers may have the computer slip out of my hands. When I purchased the computer and taking it out of the box, I noted that the nice finish is cool and slick. The cover offers a bit of a grip for me to handle the computer. I had a hard cover with a soft touch for my old laptop and after a few months, the case looked like it was beaten up and became sticky. The clear case is smooth and it does have a bit of a grip. This is an inexpensive option to have some protection for the computer as well as for me to handle it with a bit more of a grip. The case fits very nicely and snaps into place. There will not be any slippage for the computer with this nice case hugging my computer. ... show more

I researched many hard shell cases and this one looked like the best option and I found this to be true. I also like the texture. The color is even better than the picture, honestly. It fits the MacBook well and does its job as a case. I do not use the screen film - which easily scratched - or keyboard cover - felt flimsy but not awful. The adapter is a really nice addition. the case fits and looks great, very glossy and reflective and very slim which is what i wanted. however the screen protector that it comes with doesn’t work. idk if i just did something wrong, but there was no sticky side to the protector. also, i personally don’t really like the keyboard cover because i think it just looks weird on the keys but for the price im fine with just using the case! ... show more
