  • Not sure if it a 15
Nice packable light and snall sleeping bag. Perfect to fit in your hiking bag. Not sure about the 15 weather resistance. I have teated it around 32 degrees and seems to be the limit temperature.

  • So far, I'm very impressed...
I have been looking for a good down sleeping bag for a long time and have been very hesitant because of the price. I have had this one on my wishlist for over a year now and am so happy I finally decided to purchase it. I have a week long backpacking trip in the Porcupine Mountains coming up and wanted something that I know will keep me warm. I will update my review after the trip...My biggest concern was the size. After reading the dimensions I was nervous. I'm a athletic build 5'3" 135lbs, was going to get the short, but afraid of the dimensions! I now see after getting in the bag that the short would have been fine for me. The regular is a bit too long but I can throw the clothes for the next day in the end to get warm. (Short: 72" long, 26" wide at the shoulders, 21" wide at the hips, 11" wide at the toe box) (Regular: 78" long, 28" wide at the shoulders, 22" wide at the hips, 11" wide at the toe box) Where my shoulders are 32" and hips are 28" so I was not sure how that was going to work out...I got in it and still had room to move about, I could have gotten the short and it would have worked. Before purchasing the sleeping bag I got a nice email from the owner of the company touching base if I had any questions or concerns. Very nice touch, I love the fact that I'm helping out a fellow American small business owner. The sleeping bag is lightweight, and in the comp. sack decent size. First full size photo of the sleeping bag is opened up right from the comp. sack. As I have been sitting here inspecting it, it is already fluffing itself up. I didn't shake it out or anything by the second full length photo. It inflated to roughly 4.5"-5". There are 2 pieces at the foot end for hanging the bag upside down. The drawstring on the hood and inside the bag are nice. They seem to be comparable to other high-end brands. There is a velcro piece that goes over the top part of the zipper at the head end. Its not the easiest to get undone if you are all bundled up inside with drawstrings closed, but perfectly doable. The zipper is double sided so you can unzip from the inside as well as from the foot end, if your feet get too toasty...I like that. I just wish that the end zipper had a little pull on it like the top one does...I'll just add one on for convenience. The only thing that I can see so far that was from other reviews is that there are a couple threads loose along the zipper. You can see some in one of the photos. I think that they just didn't get trimmed, but won't effect the performance in any way. It is a "plastic" feeling material but there are no feathers poking out through the fabric yet. Its the same feel as any other down coat or vest I have so I'm not too worried. They also attach a sticker that you can use to the tags. the "extras" are like a cherry on top. I'm going to follow the instructions from the owner and take this on my adventure, when I get back I'll add an update on the performance and sleep quality! ... show more

  • Great Sleeping Bag
Color: Black Size: Short
I've used this bag at 30F up to 60F and was comfortable at both temps. Good quality and is easy to stow in its bag. Zipper runs along the entire side so you can open/close the bag as needed for ventilation. Also has a drawstring near the head opening so that you can close yourself up cocoon-like if you wanted to in cold temps. Great sleeping bag for the price. ... show more

  • Great Sleep system for the price
Color: Black Size: Regular
Worked well for a 2 day ruck. Night temps were not too cold around 50F but quite windy around 25mph winds with stronger gusts. The insulation is great and didn't let the wind chill get to my body. I will say the compression sack it comes with is pretty awful it does an ok job if you have a lot of space to spare but if you're rucking/backpacking the more compressed down the better (it makes it smaller and far easier to organize things instead of just stuffing everything to make it fit). That being said a proper 12L compression sack is like 16 bucks and will pack this sleeping bag down about 2X smaller than the provided compression sack. I was a bit skeptical on how well this sleeping bag would compress down considering it is a mixed fill with down and a synthetic material, it seems the synthetics are always thicker and heavier to achieve the same warmth rating but this one packed down better than my friends REI 100% down filled sleeping bag (partly because of the compression sack i used *M-TAC 12L SIZE M*). The outer material is lightweight but pretty sturdy, i move a lot when i sleep and sometimes ended up off of the sleeping pad on the rocks or sticks but didn't tear or puncture. TLDR: it's a great sleeping bag but the compression sack it comes with sucks. ... show more

  • Great size/weight for backpacking trip. Cozy!!!
Color: Black Size: Regular
I was able to use this bag at GSMNP this weekend and the temp at night went down to low 50's. Since this is rated as 15 degree sleeping bag, I would assume that comfort temperature is around 30 degree. This bag is definitely comfortable at low 40's and 50's. I like the size and weight of this sleeping bag for backpacking trips. It compresses to a small size, maybe 3 nalogen bottles and only weighs 2.8 lbs. I cant wait to use this on winter and will edit my review hopefully to a 5 star. I like the small compress size and weight of the sleeping bag. The fluffiness is great and very cozy. I had a hard time with the zipper sometimes but I think because of the thickness and the very slick fine material, it keeps getting stuck on the zipper, minor issue though as long and the bag can still be close all the way after a little finagle in the dark. I am 5 ft and 150lbs. The length was perfect size for me. I can put a set of clothes and jacket around my foot to keep it warm and still have enough room to move my feet and tighten the neck string to close the gap on the shoulder and neck area. However I think the width is a bit narrow. It's fine if the have my body and my arms are straight. The sleeping bag is a bit tight if I bend/curl my elbows. I don't want to have a lot of extra room so it did not bother me that much but it is hard to move my arms and feeling a little restraint when I move my arms so I wake up every time I move. Overall I like the bag and would highly recommend it. In fact I already talk to some of my hiker buddies about it and gave them Hyke and Byke website. I'm saving money to get the 30 degree bag and see if that will do the job on the spring/summer/fall. On another note, after receiving the sleeping bag, I got a message from the seller following up and emailed me an instruction on how to maintain the bag, making sure I am completely satisfy with the product. Honestly, I think that is a GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and a GREAT PRACTICE for their small business and I definitely appreciate the follow up. Knowing that they do that and they go behind their product, word of mouth is the best way to market to backpackers staying in the woods for days/months, so I definitely referred my hiking buddies to the seller website and showed them my sleeping bag. I love it so far and I cant wait to use it for my winter backpacking trips. ... show more
