I've slept on many a blow-up mattress in my days of frequent moving. This mattress has proved to be very comfortable, sturdy, and of good quality. I've had no problems in over a month a nightly use. I didn't think the headboard would be a big plus, but wanted to give it a try, and it is actually quite useful when reading or watching TV. The height is good for getting in/out of bed without having to stand up from the floor. The mattress can be blown up to be very firm, or adjusted for a softer sleep. I prefer a very firm mattress and have slept very well on this. Like all air mattresses, this one did stretch and require additional air to be added almost every night for a couple weeks. But now it has settled, it holds air very well. The built-in pump is a bit loud, and not as quick as stated in the description, but it does inflate quickly (few minutes). Long story short, our house has rooms under remodel/construction and for the necessity of good sleep for us all, my spouse and I moved onto this air mattress in another room temporarily while my little one stays in our bedroom as we work to finish remodeling the second room. I’ve never slept on an air mattress with a “head board” before, but I’m never going back. Goodbye to the feeling that you’re going to slide off the air mattress head-first. You can sit up in this bed and read, watch TV, etc. Now, we *have* been using it with a memory foam mattress topper (a relatively cheap one from Walmart), so I can’t speak to the long term comfort of just sleeping on it as-is, but we’ve been sleeping great for weeks now. Only complaint so far is that the latch/lid that keeps the cord coiled up and out of the way when you aren’t using the built-in pump was pretty flimsy, didn’t latch well, and got broken off pretty early on because it constantly flopped open and then got bumped into repeatedly. ... show more
