What an incredible idea and one to provide year-round herbs in the kitchen.. In Utah with such a short growing season to put it best, this will give us the ability to have fresh herbs- even in the sub zero temps of winter.. Ha! Loving it. I feel like we’re outsmarting Mother Nature..!!! I must confess- this is my second purchase of this type of device. The first was a local purchase where after getting home and trying to follow the steps.. I was defeated- never to attempt again. However, this caught my eye online and viewing the simple, helpful + understandable step-by-step instructions even I felt like I could handle it! For any who feel a bit intimidated- DONT.. this is going to walk you thru from A to Z. It is just that straight forward. I do like the fact it gives both options: herbs or flowers- you follow the “how too” for your choice. The ONLY downside to this little gadget- I do wish it did include a pack of starter seeds.. I was just excited and ready to jump in with both feet- only to realize, I had nothing to plant!! As for the device itself: very well thought out.. for a 10 sprout option- it has a small footprint, sized like that of a toaster.. it wont take up much space. The attached hood leaves enough room for plant to grow to size.. Yet, it can fit under an overhead cupboard with room to spare- it’s really been thought out well. Cord length is ample providing a bit of wiggle room to situated where it fits best in your space.. it has a sleek look- one I’m sure will get its share of conversation.. at least until plant growth begins! I just received this and I am so excited about using the hydroponic system!!! It includes everything I need except the seeds. I've seen other hydroponic systems, but, this one seems more "intelligent"! The manual is so much better than others that I have looked at. It has 10 plant pods and accommodates up to 15" in height. It has 2 grow modes for vegetables and flowers. I plan to grow herbs hopefully year round. That's my plan. I gotta learn how to use this and I think I am off to a great start! I've wanted one of these for some time, I wasn't sure how well they worked but when I saw this unit - I had to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by how clearly written the instructions are - with giant full color photos to assist! Today instructions are almost always poorly written - so to see a company putting this much effort to ensuring you have a good experience - is refreshing to say the least!
