I had built an octagonal pergola and used sunscreen cloth for the top. Florida summer rains came and saturated the potted plants on my pergola. I found this tarp to be the perfect solution. I cut it into wedge shapes to fit my roof design and it has been there, repelling those summer storms for over a year now. With some leftover, I used it to build a cover for my SIP planter box, which doesn't like too much rain either. And one small piece covers my compost pile. I am now ordering another to cover the shed I recently built. I realize it will not hold up as well as roofing tiles do, but my shed roof is too steep for me, at 80+, to work on comfortably. The tarp is a great cover for our horses' hay. Sturdy and tick. Only concern was that on one of the long sides, it had one less grommet than the other although there was no cut hole in the expected location, so it shouldn't be a problem. Additionally, I found a loose grommet piece when I opened the package. I also bought a second tarp for our firewood. Hopefully this isn't an issue there. ... show more

There is some small holes near the seams. Tarp is pretty thick though, good gromets and is white and brown. All in all not too bad.

I like the thickness of the tarp and quality of grommets. Grommets are set back from the edge to give more support. ..... The quality control failed on this tarp. ..... A pre-punched grommet hole was exactly through the edge rope and another hole added to move grommet to the proper position. Maybe that will not be such a weak point as it seems. ..... The tarp fabric also has spots that show daylight. These weak points are along seams and a few places randomly on face between panel seams. We have not had rain to see if holes allow water leakage so that is to be determined. ....... Be prepared to keep expectations low so you will not be disappointed. Then if/when you receive a perfect tarp you will be happier with your purchase. At least this tarp was not dry-rotting and falling apart at the seams like the one I bought from another business. .... I will buy again if/when needed. ... show more

I ordered "Watershed Innovations HydraTarp Super Heavy-Duty 16 Mil Thick Waterproof White/Brown Reversible Tarp, 12 by 24 Feet". There were a bunch of different sizes available, and with most sizes one could select, a photo of the item/package would appear. For this particular size, the photo showed a different looking item, and in the photo it was not the color described, but the description still was as I wrote above. So, I took a chance and ordered it, since it was difficult to find the size I wanted elsewhere. Waste of time. I received a tarp about half the size, white on both sides, and probably not the 16mil thickness detailed. I also suspect it isn't even the same material, and it was somewhat translucent, probably wouldn't block the sun very thoroughly. One large label on the package was partially scratched off, and the length dimension (wanted it to be 24') was missing so could not be read. But, a smaller label on the package was intact and it described the item that I had actually ordered. Except it was not accurate at all. In any case, it was completely NOT the item I wanted, and I am in the process of returning it. The moral of this story is, beware if the photo does not match the product description, even if the photos for the rest of the size options look okay. ... show more
