  • I put it in anything with a crankcase
Size: 32 ounces
I was first introduced to Hyperlube 23 years ago. A farmer told me about it. He had been using in all his pickups and tractors for 30 years before that. I have since used it in everything from motorcycles to lawnmowers. Never had a motor failure. For at least 10 years I have been only using synthetic oil as well for all my motors. Wish it worked for transmissions. Might also be great with peanut butter on english muffins ;-D ... show more

  • Reduced oil consumption. Engine runs smooth and quiet.t
Size: 1 Quart
I first started using Hyperlube about 10 years ago when my car started using a little oil, about 1 quart every 5,000 miles. This reduced oil consumption by more than half. I also saw a reduction of oil seeping around the valve gasket. I used to wipe it clean around once a year but now maybe every 3 years. I use synthetic with Hyperlube and my engine has never ran smoother and quieter. Startups are much quicker resulting in less drain on the battery. There may have been a slight 1 mpg increase as well. It's not as thick as STP oil treatment but fairly thick, so people afraid of thickening their oil too much may want to switch to a lighter weight oil if they want to try Hyperlube. I think the majority of people will notice improvements on older engines. My car now has 200,000 miles on it and it still runs like the day i drove it new off the lot. ... show more

  • Works OK-Up date works better than I origionally thought
Size: 1 Quart
It helps a little with cold start tick, but not a magic fix. It is much thicker than I expected, a turbo/ smaller engine might consider a different product. I have not seen fuel economy improvement. My old Ford 4.6 does not use much oil, and still doesn't, so Hyperlube does not hurt an older engine. I have not tested in winter weather to see how it flows in colder weather. Neutral opinion, but will not repeat purchase. UPDATE: I had the oil changed at a shop, as I also wanted the steering components looked at. Even with putting the gas pedal to the floor to delay starting, so the oil can reach the top of the engine. There is a dry knock much longer, and a delay for oil pressure to register. I will have to drain off a quart of oil, and place more hyper lube. Hyper lube is great for my frequent short trips, and works better than originally thought. ... show more

  • When Lucas & 15W40 seems to stop being as effective, dump a quart of this on top of that mixture!
Size: 32 ounces
I've been keeping my wife's 270k mi. '97 Mirage DE (cheapest sedan Mitsubishi offered in the U.S. that year) alive with 15w40 Rotella +1 or more quarts Lucas Oil Stabilizer, & 20w50+2 quarts during one hot summer. Since adding a quart of Sta-Lube on top of the Rotella/Lucas mixture, the oil consumption has reduced even further. Your results may vary, but if you, too, are trying to keep a small economy car's engine alive, & the total oil capacity is 4 or less quarts, you owe it to yourself to try this. It's also about $5 less per quart than Lucas, & unless your car takes more than 5 quarts, 1 qt. bottle of this oughta do it. It's about as thick as Lucas, but not as stringy. Seems just a little thinner than Motor Honey, which, the one time I used it to get a remanufactured 3.0 v6 that only had 12k miles on it (jerks likely didn't "remanufacture" the heads-probably just knurled the guides, if that- never buy a RECON engine!), I had to drain it back out, because it pulled the idle down so far, in warm weather! Motor Honey is also only a 16 oz. bottle! ... show more

  • Lowered oil consumption, but slightly lower mileage.
Size: 1 Quart
Slight loss in mileage. Many autos oils are low viscosity, 5W-20 or even 0W-20. If you use a heavier oil you may loose mileage. This has to do with the engines crankcase pressure. Heavier oils can increase the engines crankcase pressure and this creates greater resistance on the pistons downward stroke. The piston is pushing against greater pressure. So with Hy-Per Lube being so thick it can also lower your cars mileage. I have noticed a slight loss in mileage but because my truck is 22 years old and has more than 150,000 miles on it, I’m more concerned about the longevity of the engine. I have noticed less oil consumption. ... show more

  • Great stuff
Size: 32 ounces
I use Hy-Per Lube in conjunction with Marvel Mystery Oil with every oil change with all my vehicles as a preventative measure. Only 8 to 12oz the MMO in each oil change mixture. The point of the Marvel Mystery Oil is to prevent carbon from building up around the piston rings. I have used heavier amounts of Marvel Mystery Oil to release stuck piston rings on older engines ill maintained and it has revived oil burning engines to engines that no longer used oil. Also lucas oil additive is about equal to Hy-Per Lube but I prefer Hy-Per Lube. Also if you're running a V type High Performance Engine you may want to add 4 oz of General Motors EOS to each oil change as well to protect the heavy friction metal surfaces especially for those with high performance cam shafts. The chemicals in the EOS are what the EPA had the oil companies remove from motor oils some 20+ years ago because those protection additives become poison gas in an oil burning engine. Don't use EOS in an oil burning engine. Like even stupid people would be that stupid😁 ... show more

  • Love this stuff
Size: 1 Quart, 3 Pack
I put a bottle in my 200 Honda Accord V6, with 235,000 miles on the original engine, and yes, it had a noticeable affect, it was quieter, smoother, the engine on cold starts so much quieter and smoother too, had no effect on the VTECH system, thing would still haul up to the speed limiter, So I then put a bottle in 1997 Suzuki sidekick, same again so much smoother, and same again, cold starts are so smoother. On all three cars, the gas mileage as increased, on average around 3 to 5 mpg. I know own a 2017 Kia optima, these engines are kinda noisy from new, it as 18,000 miles on it, so I thought, what the heck, next oil change, I will add this, you could hear the engine quieten down and smooth out before the bottle was empty, I always pour it into a warm running engine, stops oil pump shock. ... show more
