    • Clean out your Engine and Stops leaks!

My car wasn't running smooth and started to misfire. I thought I probably needed a tuneup because I hadn’t changed the spark plugs for years. I thought it might be better to run a cleaner through it before I took it in. I put it in and drove it around from store to store to do my daily duties. About a hour after putting it in, everything cleaned out of the engine and no misfire anymore. A year later, I still haven’t taken my car in for a tuneup! Used this product on a Honda Accord 1999 EX 4cyl. Car was leaking oil. I had to refill a quart every 2-3 weeks. Mechanic informed me the car was leaking in numerous spots but the biggest area of concern was the rear main seal. I tried some Lucas Oil 10278 stop leak but it made zero difference after 3 weeks. Before deciding to pay my mechanic around $1200 (my car is only worth $2000!) for all the seals and gasket repairs, I used this Bar's Leaks 1000 engine repair. Poured the entire content in the crankcase before heading out on a fairly long trip. I was honestly surprised it worked within a week. I was expecting it to at least just slow the leak down but the leak has stopped completely and I haven't had to pour in oil nor have I seen any drips. When doing an oil change I found the underside of my car completely dry. I'll update this review as time goes on to inform how well it holds up. EDIT 3/19/2015 The leak has returned but it is much smaller than the initial leak before any Bar's Leak engine repair was added. I decided to give it one more try. I bought another bottle of the product and poured it in. It has been 3 weeks now and the leak is gone once again. So far in my case the product can be deemed as just a temporary solution. Some reviews here have claimed that two bottles will do the trick so I am holding on to that shred of hope that this second bottle will permanently seal the leaks. I would still recommend the product for the price alone. EDIT 8/20/2015 No leaks as of today! Seems like the second bottle did the trick. Final Edit 11/23/2015 After virtually a year of no oil leaks, this product held up for my 99 Accord. However, last month I tried the product on a friend's 97 Accord, with a minor rear main seal leak and it did not work at all. I also used it on my brother's 95 Corolla also with a rear main seal leak to no avail. I tried two bottles (not all at once) for each of the car and saw no difference. Maybe it was because my car's leak was new when I applied the product whereas the other two cars have had their leak for a long time. I would still recommend this product. I have a Silverado with a small leak from the oil pan's seal, I am not trying to do all that so I thought I'll give this product a try, I'm gonna tell you the moment I started the truck it the truck felt like if it was new, the truck used to shake a little during idling, after using this product it was running so smooth that u can actually cook an egg in the engine, then I noticed the leak was gone, I usually don't push for snake oil but this product works well ... show more

I've not seen the results, because my car was crashed into by a blacked out driver; however, I used the stop leak for the transmission and it IMMEDIATELY stopped leaking after I drove it only 60 miles - I KNOW Bar's will also stop a very small engine leak. Determine whether it's trany fluid or Motor Oil to know which product to use, or just use both for older cars. I hate leaks so much that I once paid 2K in labor just to replace old seals; however, these products work so well it's better to use them first - cars in storage have dry seals given they are not in contact with oil or fluids at the top of the seals, so they dry up. ... show more
