Description

Husqvarna unisex adult 36-38 In. Orange/Gray Tech. Technical Chaps, Orange, 36 to 38-Inch US Husqvarna chain saw protective chaps contain PVC coated denier polyester with Tek warp protective layers designed to reduce the risk or severity of an injury, and give the operator extra reaction time when contact is made by a moving chain. The cut retardant material is designed to "pull" apart and clog up the sprocket system of the chain saw and slow or stop the chain from rotating depending on the speed of the chain, length, angle of contact, and power of the saw. Protective chaps should never be considered safer than proper chain saw handling safety procedures. Husqvarna chaps also feature adjustable waist sizes, acetyl Delran buckles, pockets for gear, and are cold water washable. They are UL certified and meet ASTM f1897, ANSI z133.1, And OSHA regulation 1910-266. Husqvarna 592752602 Forest Helmet, Orange Husqvarna's tough HDPE helmet shell comes complete with visor, hearing protectors, and sun peak. (Neck guard must be purchased separately). 6 Point Textile Suspension + 3 different settings to adjust the depth of how the helmet sits on your head. Egyptian cotton core sweatband with porous PU coating for maximum sweat absorption. PH neutral, dermatologically tested. Meets and Exceeds ISEA / ANSI Z89.1-2014 Type I with Electrical Insulation – Rated to Class E. 2 options for adjustments: Wheel or Slip Ratchet. Ear Muff: Can be adjusted vertically and sideways; ensures good noise exclusion, despite low pressure (ANSI S3.19-1974, 24dB NRR). Visor: Nylon/Metal mesh visor, which is easily lowered or raised, provides good visibility and good water runoff.

  • Best Chainsaw Chaps!
Style: 38 in. Black/Gray Pattern Name: Chaps
I'm glad I purchased Husqvarna chaps instead of the several other popular chap brands! These chaps are somewhat light, very comfortable and can be easily put on and taken off. I usually purchase Oregon products, however after reading some reviews, I opted for the slightly more expensive Husqvarna chaps. And, am I glad I spent a few more dollars this time! 1) Easy to use large plastic buckles with nice large straps, very easy to put on and take off! 2) Very comfortable, even with the many tools I wear on my belt! 3) Includes a thigh "functional" pocket for a scrench or multiple screnches (eg. chainsaw screwdriver/wrench tool), and the scrench can be easily removed from the bottom of the pocket with snap enclosures, if wearing gloves. 4) Readily folds-up, and likely small enough for storing inside a chainsaw case. 5) Have yet to have any failure with the product. There's a second benefit towards wearing chaps, if you fall, the additional material readily absorbs more impact from the fall. So I feel like a clown while wearing these, when falling over twigs and logs! 6) Unlike a lot of products these days, Husqvarna engineered and designed these chaps really well, with the proper materials and within an affordable price range. TIP: Size, I would say the 36-38 inch size is similar to anybody within the medium size range. I'm usually a medium in both shirts/pants, and would say this size of chaps provides an exceptional area of safety coverage. TIP: When tripping/falling while wearing chaps, probably best just to roll with the fall, like a clown does rather than fighting the fall and possibly twist or breaking something. ... show more

  • Great fit, fairly comfortable.
Style: 40-42 In. Orange/Gray Tech. Pattern Name: Chaps
No saw chaps I've ever used are designed to be "comfortable," they're designed to protect you from a wayward saw. I've been cutting for 30 years and thankfully haven't ever "needed" my chaps, but the peace of mind of having them, having seen what a saw can do to unprotected limbs, is priceless. These fit well on a bigger guy (I'm 6'4" and about 275# with a 34" inseam) have plenty of adjustment, and are as comfortable as one could reasonably expect for chaps. Once adjusted, they don't seem to sag, bunch, or ride up. The pockets are mostly useful and the hi-viz color and reflectors are a plus when working around others. ... show more

  • Safe At Last - Great Professional Protection For A Weekend Cutter
Style: 40-42 In. Orange/Gray Tech. Pattern Name: Chaps
UPDATE WINTER 2020: These chaps are great. I have been cutting in them for several months. Comfort, easy on/off - highly recommend. Original Review: Last fall I sharpened my chainsaw. And with the engine off, after finishing sharpening, I just lightly brushed my leg with the sharpened chain. In a split second, the chain sliced my thick woodcutter jeans right across the front of my right leg. I had no real skin cut but thought ouch if this saw was running that would have been tragic. I was also far from home without cell phone coverage and I just stood there reflecting what could have occurred. It was then I vowed to get a pair of protection chaps. I do a lot of cutting on remote mountain hills and it seems it is always cold and wet in the fall cutting time. I searched, looked at different type chaps, half cut, full cut, caff protection, low cost, and lots of brands. Then I decided on the Husky as they had good reviews, offered caff protection and looked smart. They arrived, fit well on my 6' - 210-pound frame with a waist at 36" and inseam at 32. I bought the 40" - and they fit perfectly. Not too long, they fit nicely around my large caff muscles. I have not cut into them and hopefully never do, however, I feel much safer and I look professional with my orange gloves, helmet, ear protection, and Husky full caff protention chaps. They do get a bit warm in the hot sun 80 degrees, however, they are not cumbersome or bunch up like I had thought they would. I can tolerate the little sweat on a hot day to know I am protected against possible bleed out from an accident. If you cut deep in the mountain woods, alone, or far from medical assistance. Use these. Don't cheap-out, buy full chap and a good brand - heck whatever you do, just buy a pair and ware them if an accident ever happens you will be glad you have them. ... show more

  • Pro Grade Quality & Comment on Size
Style: 36-38 In. Orange/Gray Tech. Pattern Name: Chaps
First let me say these are serious professional grade protective chaps. All the material is high quality including the straps and fasteners around the waist and leg. I like that there are four straps that go around each leg, One at the thigh (which you cannot see in the picture) and three below the knee. This is important for comfort and safety because it allows you to adjust the size for a propper fit and it prevents the chaps from being loose and flapping around, which is not only uncomfortable but also dangerous because you could trip. Additionally, these pants are heavy so poorly fitted heavy chaps that flops around would add to fatigue while working. Second, a comment on sizing. The measurements 36-38" and 40-42" pertain to the measurement from your waist to your ankle. This is not an inseam measure like for jeans. Everyone is shaped different so take your waist to ankle measurement to be sure. I'm 5'8" and waist to ankle I measure 37", the 36-38" size fits perfect. Rule of thumb is if your jeans inseam is 31" or less, go for the 36-38". Otherwise go for the the 40-42". Note, if the chaps are a little long you can cuff them under to shorten it and the bottom strap on the leg will hold the cuff in place (another great feature about these chaps). Waist measurement is nearly irrelevant, the waist strap is plenty big. Lastly, these chaps are excellent quality for the money. I was surprised how high quality they were. Don't go cheap, chaps are one of the most important pieces of protective gear you need. Most common chainsaw injuries are to the leg. Jeans will not protect you at all, they are like tissue paper to a chainsaw. ... show more
