I bought this and the set of right and left scrapers to grind amd modify to make a set of negative rake scrapers. They are extremely sturdy and the quality of the steel is superb! I have used a slow speed grinder on them and it takes two hours or more to shape one of them because of the hardness of the steel. They hold a great sharp edge. After grinding the edges, I use a set of diamond sharpening plates to put a final edge on them and then a card scraper burnishing tool to curl a burr. Cuts shaving like a razor! Leaves a very smooth surface with little need for sanding. ... show more
