Seems very nicely made. The different jaws should be able to hold anything. Only used once so far and I really like it. Wish I had one sooner. Like another reviewer the case on mine was broken in one spot. The box showed no damage, but the case was broken where the chuck itself had smashed against the side in shipping. Perhaps a denser foam would help . I don't plan to return it just because of that but the manufacturer may want to take some additional precautions. 4 stars just because of the broken case, otherwise a very nice product. ... show more

I bought this to make my wood lathe more versatile and didn't want to spend a ton of money on it. I did strip out a screw but no issues to the jaws or chuck itself. This really opened up options for me and works really well. I used all of the jaws and the screw and have no issues with any of them. Total game changer accessory. Its fitted to a harbor freight bench top lathe when it's being used so you can really see where the expense nova type products just dont make sence for me. It's a nice entry to very lite production accessory maybe more? Time will tell, I have been on the lathe alot lately and will really put it through its paces. ... show more

No written instructions manual!!! Just some very poor quality videos which some just have music and others aren’t translated to English!!!! I’m older and am used to reading instruction manuals Nothing came with my box!!! I have researched videos on utube and discovered that all of them are a little different!!! This can be be very dangerous, because the item you are making could fly off if it isn’t properly secured and someone could get hurt!! ... show more

I found the chuck to be a great tool for my lathe an has helped more than a little in doing different projects an making it possible to turn we’re a face plate was the only option.Read a lot of reviews before buying an have found it to be top quality. No vibration an smooth running.

The chuck seems to be well made. Tightening the jaws is not a smooth operation. The chuck does not rotate true and creates a lot of vibration. I also have a Nova 2 chuck which does not have any of the problems that this little one does. I was really hoping this would run smooth.
