This is one solid tool. Great length and handle length. Sharpens to a great edge. Use it all the time in bowl turning. Don't let in inexpensive cost scare you away.

Heafty. Took an edge easily (on Tormek grinder). Minimal use thus far, but no reason to believe these will be any different than my other Hurricane tools -- not the best tools around, but a very good value.

These are a great value for the money. I used them to remove tear out on a Walnut burl bowl. To get the best cut, you need to raise a burr on the edge. I used a "Veritas® Scraper Burnisher for Turners", I bought from another vender. Using a Sheer cut with the scraper cutting at an angle, and with a heavy burr, I got a supper fine finish. That need very little sanding. The down side is that they need sharpening frequently. But I'm retired, and in no rush. for the price they can't be beat. ... show more
